How to cancel Factor meals: online, by phone, and before the next box

We reached two Factor representatives to ask how cancellation works. Here are the online steps, the phone menu, what to have ready, and the conflicting answers about the order deadline.

How to cancel Factor meals and check the next delivery, from two recorded support calls

To cancel Factor meals, sign in on a desktop browser and open Plan Settings. Under Status, choose Deactivate My Plan, finish the cancellation prompts, and select Deactivate Now. Those are the steps in Factor's current cancellation guide. You can also call (888) 573 5727; a representative told us phone cancellation needs the account holder's full name and email.

Check the next order separately before you finish. On our second call, the representative said cancelling the account does not itself cancel an upcoming order. Their advice was to cancel or skip that order, save the change, then cancel the subscription. If the order has passed its cutoff, the first representative said the box will still be processed.

There is a deadline conflict to know about. Factor's website gives 11:59 pm PST, five days before delivery in its skipping instructions. Both representatives gave 9:59 pm Pacific, and the second also said a week before delivery. Those answers did not reconcile. Ask support to confirm the cutoff for your actual delivery date and whether the next order can still be stopped.

We called on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at about 11 am Pacific. call4me reached a human on both calls. These were general inquiries for this guide: we did not have a Factor subscription to cancel, and no account or order was changed.

How to cancel a Factor subscription online

On a desktop or laptop browser:

  1. Sign in to your Factor account and open Plan Settings.
  2. Find Status and choose Deactivate My Plan.
  3. If you want to continue rather than accept an offer, select Cancel Anyway.
  4. Choose your reason, then select Deactivate Now.
  5. Check that the plan is deactivated and keep the confirmation email. Our first representative said the email should arrive within 24 hours.

The button labels come from Factor's guide. We did not sign in to a subscription to test the screens. If the controls are missing or you cannot tell whether the plan is deactivated, ask support to check its status and the next scheduled order.

Can you cancel Factor by phone?

Yes. Both representatives answered general cancellation questions; the first said support can help cancel the plan after finding the account. Have the account holder's full name and account email ready.

Call (888) 573 5727. Factor publishes this number on its consumer bundles page, with hours of 6 am to 11 pm Eastern on weekdays and 7 am to 7 pm Eastern on Saturday and Sunday. We reached people during the Saturday window.

The Factor customer service phone menu

The menu we heard on both calls:

  1. Select 1 for Factor ready meals. Option 2 was for Factor supplements.
  2. Enter the requested phone number, followed by the pound key. For an actual cancellation, have the number associated with the account ready.
  3. Answer whether you are the account holder: 1 for yes, 2 for no. Answer truthfully when calling for someone else.
  4. Select 4 for account cancellation. The other options were delivery, ingredients, technical support and other inquiries.
  5. The system transfers you to the next available representative. Explain what you want cancelled and complete any verification they require.

Our general inquiries reached people without pretending to have a subscription. That does not establish that someone calling as an assistant can change every customer's account without further authorization. Follow the actual prompts if the menu changes.

When do you need to cancel Factor to avoid the next box?

Confirm the deadline for your delivery schedule before relying on a general time. Our calls and the website disagreed:

Source checked October 3 What it said
Factor's consumer website, in the skip section 11:59 pm PST, five days before delivery
First support call 9:59 pm Pacific; cutoff day depends on delivery day
Second support call 9:59 pm PST, a week before delivery; also confirmed weekday examples that did not consistently fit that interval

The first representative gave Monday as the cutoff for Saturday delivery, Tuesday for Sunday delivery, Wednesday for Monday or Tuesday delivery, and Thursday for Wednesday delivery. We asked again on the second call, but did not get an explanation that resolved the difference between the stated interval, the examples and the website.

We cannot establish a universal cancellation deadline from those answers. Tell support your actual delivery day, ask for the exact date, time and timezone, and ask whether cancelling now will stop the specific upcoming order. Do this while there is still time to act, rather than waiting until either published time.

Will the next box still arrive after you cancel?

It can. The first representative said an order already beyond its cutoff will keep progressing. The second emphasized that changing the subscription and stopping an order are separate actions.

Before ending the call, ask support to confirm both:

We did not ask about a damaged delivery or test refund eligibility for a real order. Do not assume subscription cancellation also grants a refund for an already processed box.

How to skip or pause Factor instead of cancelling

Skipping a week prevents that week's order; it does not mean you cancelled the plan. Our first representative made that distinction explicitly.

Factor's website instructions say to select the delivery date, open Edit Delivery and choose Skip Week. In the app, choose the week, open the three dots beside its delivery date and select Skip Week. Finish the action and check the week is marked as skipped.

For a longer stop, the website describes plan deactivation as skipping deliveries indefinitely, with the option to reactivate later. Decide whether you want one week skipped or the subscription stopped, and ask support to verify the corresponding status.

How to cancel Factor in the app, and what Delete Account means

Factor's current website lists an iOS route through Settings, Personal Information, Delete Account, then Continue to deactivate. The page describes the result as plan deactivation.

Our calls did not establish when that route deletes personal data. The first representative described cancelling the subscription before a separate deletion request that can take weeks. The second said a Delete Account action deletes data, but our question shortened the website's button wording to Continue. We did not test the actual iOS screens.

If your goal is to stop deliveries, use the desktop plan deactivation route above or ask support to do it and confirm the next order's status. If you also want your personal data deleted, request that separately and ask what will be removed and when. These calls do not prove immediate data deletion or an Android cancellation path.

How do you confirm Factor is cancelled?

Our first representative said a confirmation email is sent within 24 hours after cancellation. Keep it alongside the status shown in your account. If no email arrives, contact support and ask them to confirm the subscription status and send confirmation again.

A skipped delivery is evidence about one order. It is not proof that the entire subscription is deactivated. Confirm both the plan and the next order when you are trying to stop future deliveries.

Listen to our Factor cancellation calls

The first call covers cancellation methods, verification, order cutoffs, confirmation and skipping versus cancelling. The second asks about the conflicting deadline and the iOS wording. The recordings preserve the original voices, menus and waits. Names and private phone details are replaced with silence.

2:00 Representative: Hello, thank you for calling Factor. This is [representative name removed]. How can I help?

2:05 Call4me: Hi, this [name and introduction removed]. We're putting together a general cancellation guide for customers. Can I ask a few quick questions about how someone in the U.S. would cancel their Factor meal subscription?

2:18 Representative: They can cancel it through the website, on their account, on a mobile browser using the desktop browser as well, or the application on their phone. Or they can contact us back here so we can also provide other options before cancelling the subscription.

2:41 Call4me: Okay, gotcha. So what verification do they need to provide when they call to cancel?

2:49 Representative: They'll just need to provide us the full name, the email, and then that's it. We'll be able to see the information here on their account.

3:00 Call4me: Awesome. And then what's the cutoff to cancel and not get charged for the next delivery?

3:09 Representative: That cutoff is depending on the delivery. Yeah. For example, the delivery day, let me see.

3:19 Representative: Bear with me.

3:21 Call4me: Sure.

3:26 Representative: All right. So, for example, the delivery day is Saturday. The cutoff for that is Monday. And then Sunday delivery cutoff is Tuesday. And then Monday and Tuesday, the cutoff is Wednesday. And then Wednesday delivery cutoff is Thursday. So that is at 9.59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

3:58 Call4me: Okay, thank you. And if they cancel after that, would the next box still come?

4:07 Representative: Yes, that is correct. It will still progress because we cannot cancel the order anymore if that is already past the cutoff or deadline.

4:21 Call4me: Okay, that makes sense. And how do customers get the cancellation and confirmation? Email or something in their accounts?

4:31 Representative: Yes, we are sending the email confirmation within 24 hours once that we cancel the account.

4:39 Call4me: Great, thank you. One last thing. Is skipping a week the same as canceling or is that different? And does deleting their account automatically cancel the plan?

4:54 Representative: First, the skipping of a week is different from cancellation.

5:01 Representative: Skipping is that we just need to pause the order. Then canceling the order will be automatically or will not be automatically resumed if that is already canceled.

5:19 Call4me: Gotcha.

5:20 Representative: And then for the deleting of the account, the subscription needs to be canceled first.

5:30 Call4me: Oh, okay. So they would cancel the subscription first and then delete the account if they want?

5:37 Representative: That's correct. The deletion will take up to 45 business days. It will be forwarded to our relevant team. And then some of the cases may take up to 90 days.

5:54 Call4me: Okay, that's super helpful. That's all I needed. Thanks for your help.

5:58 Representative: Yes, you're welcome. Anything else?

6:03 Call4me: No, that's all. I just needed the general stuff. Thanks again. Bye.

6:08 Representative: Yes, you're welcome. Thank you also for your time. This is [representative name removed] and there will be a quick survey on how I assisted.

6:15 Call4me: Awesome. Thanks so much. Bye.

6:17 Representative: You're welcome.

Call 2: the deadline and upcoming order

0:37 Phone system: To assist you, we need some information to locate your Factor account. Please enter your phone number, starting with the area code, followed by the pound, hashtag, key.

0:50 Call4me: Hmm, let me see. We don't have an account, okay. Do they have a general route? Hmm.

0:58 Phone system: Are you the account holder? Press 1 for Yes or 2 for No.

1:05 Call4me: Hmm, that would be No. Okay, let's see.

1:11 Phone system: For Delivery Inquiries, press 1. For Ingredient Inquiries, press 2. For Technical Support, press 3. To cancel your account, press 4. For All Other Inquiries, press 5.

1:28 Call4me: Great, to cancel account number 4.

1:34 Phone system: We'll transfer your call to the next available agent. After the call, please stay on the line to answer a couple of quick questions about your experience with our customer support team. We highly value your feedback.

1:56 Representative: Hi, thank you for contacting Factor. My name is [representative name removed]. How can I help you today?

2:01 Call4me: Hi, this is [name removed]’s assistant. We're writing a general cancellation guide and had a quick question. No account to change.

2:10 Representative: Alright, I understand you have a general question on the account, and of course I'm here to help. Please provide me your email address so I can pull up the account.

2:19 Call4me: Oh, we don't have an account. It's just a general question about the cancellation cutoff. A prior rep told us the cutoff is 9.59 p.m. Pacific, but your how to cancel page says 11.59 p.m. PST, five days before delivery. Could you help me reconcile that?

2:36 Representative: Oh, sure. I may know because we have different cutoff for each day of delivery. So if you could provide me the delivery day schedule, I can confirm here when to cancel a subscription or like any cancellation.

2:55 Call4me: Gotcha. Right, yeah. So we don't have a specific delivery day. We're just trying to nail down whether the official cutoff is 9.59 or 11.59 PST.

3:06 Representative: 9.59 p.m.

3:10 Call4me: Okay, 9:59 p.m.

3:12 Representative: PST. A week before.

3:14 Call4me: PST a week before. So does that same cutoff apply to both skipping a box and canceling the whole subscription?

3:23 Representative: Yes. But I'd like to let you know, though, that the cancellation of account doesn't mean including the cancellation of an order. So if you wanted to cancel the account, then you will have first to cancel the upcoming order or skipping the upcoming order. And then after that, hit save and then cancel the subscription.

3:46 Call4me: Gotcha. So is that 9.59 p.m. Pacific always exactly a week before the delivery date? Or is it five days before, like the page says?

3:57 Representative: A week. A week before the scheduled delivery date.

4:01 Call4me: Okay, a week before the scheduled delivery at 9.59 p.m. Pacific, correct?

4:07 Representative: Yes.

4:08 Call4me: Okay, got it. And for folks with, say, Saturday deliveries, is that cutoff on Monday? And for Monday or Tuesday deliveries, is it Wednesday?

4:20 Representative: Yes.

4:22 Call4me: Okay. And one more thing. In the iOS app, it says delete account, then continue to deactivate. Does that just cancel the plan, or does it actually delete user data right away?

4:37 Representative: Sorry. Are you requesting to delete a subscription or the account?

4:43 Call4me: Not requesting. Just clarifying the steps. So in iOS, when a user taps delete account, then continue. Does that simply cancel the subscription, or does it delete their data at that point?

4:58 Representative: Yeah, deleting the data at that point.

5:02 Call4me: Understood. Thanks for checking. That's all I needed. Thank you so much for your help.

5:07 Representative: Of course. You're welcome. Before I let you go, though, we would greatly appreciate if you could stay for just a quick survey after the call. And I hope I was able to resolve all of your concerns. That's it for me. Please take care. Bye for now.

5:20 Call4me: Thanks again. Bye.

Have your agent make this call

After installing call4me, give your agent the account information privately and use this prompt:

Call Factor at (888) 573 5727. Choose ready meals, answer the account holder question truthfully, then choose account cancellation. I want my subscription deactivated. My account name is [your name] and my email is [your account email]. Before making the change, confirm the exact cutoff for my delivery on [date], including the timezone. Check whether my next order can still be cancelled or skipped, and stop it if possible before deactivating the subscription. If it is already too late, tell me whether it will still be delivered and charged. Decline offers to keep the plan. Do not delete my personal data or buy anything. Confirm both the plan status and the next order status, and ask for the confirmation email. Ask me if further verification is needed.
