the prompt

this is what you paste into your agent. it signs you in; sign in here first and your key comes in the prompt instead.

Set up call4me so you can make phone calls for me (book restaurants, doctor's appointments, call businesses for info).

1. Add the call4me MCP server and sign me in. Use whichever matches you:
   - Claude Code:  claude mcp add --scope user --transport http call4me https://call4.me/mcp  (then I run /mcp, pick call4me, and choose authenticate)
   - Codex:        codex mcp add call4me --url https://call4.me/mcp  then  codex mcp login call4me
   - Claude Desktop, claude.ai, or ChatGPT: add a custom connector with the URL https://call4.me/mcp and sign in when it asks.
   - Muse: build a custom integration to the call4me remote MCP server at https://call4.me/mcp (streamable HTTP) with the official MCP SDK. Ask me for my call4me API key (it's at https://call4.me/account) through your secure credential flow, never in chat, store it in your Secure Credentials Store, and send it as Authorization: Bearer <key>. List the tools, test call4me_get_balance, and save it as a reusable skill.
   - Grok Bot: add a custom MCP server called call4me (remote HTTPS, no headers, no auth) at my personal server URL, which I copy from https://call4.me/account. You add it from this chat; no separate approval is needed. If you offer sign-in instead, use https://call4.me/mcp and I sign in.
   - grok.com: you can't add connectors from the chat, so I do it: grok.com/connectors, New Connector, Custom, with the URL https://call4.me/mcp, then I sign in.
   - If you can't sign me in, I copy my personal server URL from https://call4.me/account and you use that instead.
   I sign in with Google or X. If I have no credits yet, I load some at https://call4.me (from $10).

2. Restart or reload MCP servers if needed, then call call4me_get_balance to check it works. Show me my assigned call4me numbers from the returned numbers list, with their countries, and suggest saving them as a contact named call4me. These are the numbers call4me calls from, separate from my own phone saved in my calling profile. If phone_number is null and the numbers list is empty, explain that my free US number is assigned on my first call and you'll show it to me then. Don't invent a number or claim one has already been assigned. Explain that call4me may ring my saved phone when a business needs me to verify my identity. I answer and press 1 to join; pressing * or hanging up hands the call back to the caller. I can also ask to just listen in on a call (listen_in on call4me_place_call, or mode "listen" on call4me_connect_me): nobody hears me, and I press 1 to take over.

3. Ask what I want my first call to accomplish. Don't collect a personal profile during setup. For a specific call, use call4me_get_profile to see what's already saved and call4me_get_requirements for that category. Ask in one message only for missing details that call needs. Ask for sensitive details such as date of birth, home address, insurance IDs or VIN only when that specific call requires them, and explain why. Giving a detail for one call does not mean I want it saved: offer call4me_save_profile for details I want reused and save only with my agreement. Skip anything I decline. Never ask for or save my Social Security number, card numbers, or passwords.

4. From now on, when I ask you to call somewhere:
   - Pick the category and call call4me_get_requirements. Ask me for every required detail you don't already have in one message before dialing (reason for the visit, new or existing patient, which days/times work, party size...). The caller can only say what you give it.
   - Find the number (web search if needed) and make sure it's the right location.
   - Before placing a call with connect_when, give me a heads up that my phone may ring and show the actual call4me number that will ring me. Use the assigned number selected for this call, which can differ by country. If this is my first call and no number is assigned yet, explain that before dialing and show the exact returned calling_number as soon as call4me_place_call returns.
   - Place the call with call4me_place_call. On my first call, or whenever its returned calling_number differs from the one you've already shown me, show me that exact number and suggest saving it as a call4me contact. Then keep calling call4me_get_call until it finishes. If the caller asks a question mid-call, answer it quickly with call4me_answer_question; the business is waiting on the line.
   - Before using call4me_connect_me, give me a heads up with that call's actual calling_number from call4me_get_call. Remind me to answer and press 1 to join, then press * or hang up to hand the call back. Don't use my saved profile phone as the caller number.
   - Tell me the result in one or two lines.

faq

which countries can it call?

the us, canada, the eu, the uk, iceland, liechtenstein, norway, switzerland, the uae, and japan work with your free us number. other supported destinations may need a local call4me number. check availability in my account.

what does it cost?

from $0.25 per minute from pickup by a person or automated system, including phone menus and hold time, rounded up to the minute. prepaid credits start at $10.00. each call reserves its maximum cost and returns unused credit when it ends. unanswered, busy, and failed calls are free.

higher rates: the uae at $0.40/min, japan at $0.40/min, philippines at $0.40/min, panama at $0.50/min, ghana at $0.60/min, bolivia at $0.60/min, ukraine at $0.65/min.

monthly reload is on by default. untick it before paying or stop it in my account.

can it wait on hold and ring me when someone answers?

yes. ask your agent to have call4me ring you as soon as a person picks up. it calls your saved phone, and you press 1 to join. phone menus and hold time cost the same per minute as the conversation. there is no discounted hold rate. ask your agent to set a maximum call length to cap the cost, or schedule the call for a quieter time.

do i need my own phone number?

no. call4me provides a free us number, and the agent answers callbacks to it. you can also verify your own number as caller ID; callbacks then go directly to your phone.

how do extra numbers work?

ask your agent (call4me_buy_number) or use my account. a number costs exactly what our phone carrier charges us, no markup: its upfront cost plus the first month when you buy it, then the monthly cost every 30 days from your credits. your account page shows each country's price. if your credits can't cover a renewal, the number is released after 7 days. you can release a number anytime.

which agents does it work with?

claude code, codex, claude desktop, claude.ai, chatgpt, grok bot, and other MCP clients. muse can build its own integration. follow the setup prompt; some apps need you to add the connector yourself. see the muse and grok guides.

can i jump on the call myself?

yes. tell your agent to connect you "as soon as a person picks up" to skip the hold music, or ask during the call. call4me may also ring you if the business needs you to verify your account. your agent should tell you what number to expect. answer and press 1 to join (so your voicemail never ends up on it); press * or hang up to hand it back. or ask to just listen in: nobody on the call hears you, the agent keeps working, and you press 1 anytime to take over.

will they know it's an AI?

it doesn't announce itself. if asked whether it's an AI, it says yes. it calls for you and never claims to be you. see rules.

are calls recorded? where can i listen?

yes. our phone carrier (Telnyx) records calls. after a call ends, open it in my account to play or save its recording and read the transcript. you can also ask your agent for the recording. it can take a minute to appear after hangup.

who can it call?

businesses and services you want to reach. no telemarketing, no surveys, no calling people who don't expect it, no emergency or premium-rate numbers.
