Rick booked dinner with one prompt

A table for two at Farmer's Grain, confirmed by phone for Saturday at 5 pm. The call cost 25 cents.

“Booked a dinner reservation in one prompt. Only cost me 25 cents.”

Rick Manelius on X

Rick wanted a table for two at Farmer's Grain on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 5 pm. On October 1, his assistant used call4me to phone the restaurant and make the reservation under his name.

The request had the details a restaurant needed: a date, a time, a party size and a reservation name. The call record shows 56 billed seconds and a charge of 25 cents. By the end of the conversation, the restaurant had confirmed the booking.

Rick's dinner reservation, two guests at Farmer's Grain on October 3 at 5 pm

What happened on the call

The assistant introduced itself as Rick's assistant and asked for the table. Staff checked availability, then repeated the Saturday date, party size and time before asking for a telephone number to hold it.

The assistant supplied Rick's callback details and spelled his surname. Staff then confirmed two guests under his name and repeated October 3 at 5 pm. The assistant thanked them and ended the call.

Listen to the 55 second recording. Names and contact details are muted, with the original timing retained. The recording length is separate from the 56 billed seconds shown in the call record.

These short excerpts come from the saved transcript. Private contact details and the staff member's name are omitted.

Assistant: “I was hoping to get a table for two this Saturday, October 3rd, at 5 pm.”

Restaurant: “All right, I have that all set for you for two guests”

The confirmation matters because it establishes that staff had accepted the reservation. The conversation went beyond checking whether a table might be available.

What the result covers

The record supports a confirmed table for two at the requested date and time. It does not establish that Rick later attended dinner. No confirmation number was provided, and the conversation did not establish cancellation terms or a deposit policy.

For another reservation, those are useful details to include in the brief, particularly if your plans could change. Ask the assistant to confirm any terms before agreeing to a charge.

Give your assistant the booking details

Connect call4me with the Claude Code guide or Codex guide, then give your assistant the restaurant, full date, party size and preferred time. These are setup options, not a claim about which client Rick used.

Call [restaurant] and book a table for [party size] on [full date] at [time]. Use my reservation name and callback number. Ask about deposits and cancellation terms before agreeing to any charge. Return the confirmed booking details.
