Netflix customer service number: reach a live person 24/7 at 1-844-569-7700
We called the number Netflix's own Help Center gave us, with general questions for this guide. A virtual agent answered, and asking for a live agent twice got us to a person in about 80 seconds. Here's what she said about hours, cancelling, unrecognized charges and callbacks, and the full 4 minute recording.
The short answer: the Netflix customer service number for the US is 1-844-569-7700. It's the number Netflix's own Help Center contact page gave us under "Call Us" on October 29, 2026, signed out, with "Wait time: less than 1 minute". The live agent we reached said Netflix phone support is open 24/7: "Yeah, we are open 24-7."
A virtual agent answers first. There's no keypad menu. It introduces itself ("I'm a virtual agent") and asks how it can help. What got us through:
- Say you want a live agent. It offered to help with "billing questions, streaming issues, account changes, or device setup" first.
- Ask again for a representative. On the second request it said "Please hold on for a moment while I connect you with a live agent" and "Your call will be answered in about 30 seconds."
- A live Netflix support agent answered 1 minute 20 seconds after the call connected.
Is this the real Netflix phone number? Yes: help.netflix.com showed it to us, we called it on October 29, 2026 and reached Netflix support, and the agent read the same number back to us as the one to call. Also written 1 (844) 569-7700 or 844.569.7700. Directory sites list other numbers for Netflix. This is the one Netflix's site gave us, and the only one we called.
What the agent told us:
- Phone support is 24/7 in the US. "Yeah, we are open 24-7."
- The fastest way to a person is this number. Asked whether calling, the app or chat is fastest, she said "I can give you a phone number" and read out 1-844-569-7700 twice.
- Have your email ready. She asked for our email "for account reference" right away. Asked what members need, she said "It's just only an email."
- You can change your plan by phone. "You can change your plan on the account anytime, and also you can give us a call to change the plan." She said you can cancel "anytime" and rejoin "anytime", but didn't say whether support cancels by phone.
- For a charge you don't recognize, she said to contact your bank. "They should need to contact the bank," and "you can file a dispute." Netflix's own help page says something different for some cases. See below.
- No callbacks. Asked whether Netflix calls members back or offers a callback, she said "No" and "We don't have any give a call."
We called on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at about 11:47 am Pacific, with call4me asking the questions. This page is what we heard.
Listen to the call
The whole call, 4 minutes 26 seconds. Three short silences cover the agent's first name. Nothing else is muted or cut, and our caller didn't give my name or any number.
No keys were pressed on this call. Everything was spoken.

The Netflix customer service phone line, step by step
This is how the call went on October 29, 2026, calling 1-844-569-7700.
- Call 1-844-569-7700. "Hi, thanks for calling Netflix. I'm a virtual agent, and this call may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance and improvement of our service. How can I help?"
- Ask for a live agent. Our caller said it had a general question and asked to be connected with someone. The virtual agent answered: "I hear you're looking to speak with a live agent. Before I get you there, I can help with things like billing questions, streaming issues, account changes, or device setup. Is there something specific you're trying to sort out today?"
- Ask again. Our caller repeated that it was a general question and asked for a representative. "I understand you have a general question about phone support. Please hold on for a moment while I connect you with a live agent."
- A short hold. "Your call will be answered in about 30 seconds," then a recording notice and "Please stay online at the end of the call for a brief survey."
- A person: "Netflix support, this is [name removed]. How can I help?" That was 1 minute 20 seconds into the call, about 22 seconds after the "about 30 seconds" message.
- After you hang up with the agent, a keypad survey starts: "How would you rate your experience with Netflix customer service? Press a number between 1 and 5."
We only tested asking for a live agent with a general question. If you tell the virtual agent about a specific billing or streaming problem, it may try to handle it itself first.
Other ways Netflix lists to get help
Netflix's contact page shows two options after you describe your issue: Call Us, which showed 1-844-569-7700, and Chat with Us. On October 29, 2026, both showed "Wait time: less than 1 minute". The page also has a "Call Us In-app" option for calling from the Netflix app. We didn't try chat or in-app calling.
What to have ready
- The email on your Netflix account. The agent asked for it first, "for account reference", and said it's all you need.
Our caller suggested "email, phone number, payment info?" when it asked, and the agent picked email from that list. She didn't mention anything else.
Cancelling or changing your Netflix plan
The agent said you can change your plan on your account "anytime", and "also you can give us a call to change the plan." She said you can cancel "anytime" and rejoin "anytime", but didn't say whether an agent can cancel for you by phone.
Netflix's own cancel article says to go to the Manage your membership page, sign in, and tap Cancel, then Finish Cancellation. It says "This is the only way to cancel your account and end your membership," and that signing out or deleting the app doesn't cancel it. If you cancel mid cycle, "you can use Netflix until the end of the billing period." If you don't see a cancel option, you're billed through a partner, and "you'll need to cancel the account with your payment partner."
If you'd rather have someone else deal with it, see cancelling a subscription by phone.
A Netflix charge you don't recognize
The agent's answer was to contact your bank: "They should need to contact the bank," and "you can file a dispute."
Netflix's unrecognized charges page covers more cases:
- You never signed up, or think someone is using your payment information without your consent: "please contact us immediately" (it links to the contact page).
- Charged on an expired card: "Banks may automatically update credit or debit card numbers when a new card is issued."
- A different amount than expected, charged after cancelling, or charged twice: each has its own Netflix help article, linked from that page.
For disputing a charge with your card issuer, see how to dispute a charge.
Callbacks and calls claiming to be Netflix
Our caller asked two things at once: whether Netflix offers a callback, and about unprompted calls people might worry about. The agent said "No" and "We don't have any give a call." We read that as no callbacks, but because the question was doubled up, we can't say which part she was answering.
Netflix's phishing article says Netflix will "never ask you to share your personal information in a text or email," including card numbers, bank details and passwords, and will "never ask for payment through a 3rd party vendor or website." For a phone number posing as Netflix customer service, it says not to share any information and to email the number to phishing@netflix.com. Get the number from help.netflix.com, not from a search ad or a directory.
How we made this recording
call4me is a phone for your AI agent: your agent (Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT) tells it what to get done and it makes the call. For this one, the brief was to reach a live Netflix agent with general questions for this guide, with no account to look up, and to note whether a human or an automated assistant answered.
A few things to know about our side of the call:
- It suggested an answer. When it asked what to have ready, our caller added "Would it be like an email, phone number, payment info?" The agent picked email.
- It asked two questions at once about callbacks and unprompted calls, so her "No" is ambiguous (see above).
- When the agent asked for our email, our caller said it had no account to look up, and she answered the rest of our questions anyway.
We kept the audio as it happened, apart from the muted name.

Have your agent make this call
If you use call4me, paste this into your agent:
Call Netflix customer service at 1-844-569-7700. A virtual agent answers. Say I need a live agent, and ask again for a representative if it offers to help first. When a person answers, give them the email on my Netflix account, [your email], and tell them [your problem: e.g. a charge on [date] for [amount] I don't recognize, or I want to change my plan to [plan]]. Ask what they can do and how long it will take. Don't cancel my membership, change my plan or update payment details without asking me.

3:13 Caller: Okay, great. Thank you. And one more. If someone sees a Netflix charge on their card that they don't recognize, what's the first thing they should do?
3:24 Agent: They should need to contact the bank.
3:27 Caller: Oh, okay.
3:28 Agent: So that you can ask some... Yeah, you can file a dispute.
3:33 Caller: Okay, got it. And do you ever call members back or offer a callback? And what about unprompted calls that people might worry about?

For each question, please enter your response by pressing the appropriate number on the keypad. How would you rate your experience with Netflix customer service? Press a number between 1 and 5, where 1 is very unsatisfied and 5 is very satisfied.
[The call ends here. Our caller hung up.]
