Ticketmaster phone number: how to reach a live person at 1-800-653-8000
We called Ticketmaster's customer service number with general questions for this guide. A virtual assistant answers first; asking for a representative and saying "something else" got us to a live person 1 minute 48 seconds in. Here's what they said about hours, refunds and missing tickets, and the full 7 minute recording.
The short answer: the Ticketmaster phone number for US customer service is 1-800-653-8000. Ticketmaster's How to Contact Us page lists it under "Want to reach us by phone?" with these hours:
- Monday to Friday, 9 am to 11:30 pm Eastern
- Saturday, 9 am to 10 pm Eastern
- Sunday, 9 am to 9 pm Eastern
So it isn't a 24 hour line.
A live person answered 1 minute 48 seconds into our call. There's no keypad menu. A voice assistant answers first ("Ticketmaster's virtual fan support"), and this got us through:
- Ask for a representative. It said "Sure" and asked what the issue was.
- Say what you're calling about. We said general questions about phone support, not an account.
- When it asks "Are you calling about an existing order or something else?", say "something else". It transferred us right away.
- A survey offer and a "zero tolerance policy for abusive behavior" notice play, then a person picks up. That was about 40 seconds after the transfer.
Is this the real Ticketmaster number? Yes. It's the number on Ticketmaster's own help center, and we called it on October 29, 2026 and reached a Ticketmaster fan support representative. Also written 1 (800) 653-8000 or 800.653.8000. Ticketmaster's help center has a page on common ticket scams, and plenty of other sites list other numbers for Ticketmaster, so get the number from help.ticketmaster.com.
What the representative told us:
- The fastest way to a person is chat, not the phone. "Chat through your account, log in, go to My Orders, click on your event, and click Contact Us. This is the fastest way to get an agent." Ticketmaster's contact page says the same: "Already have tickets? Sign in to chat."
- Hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 11:30 pm Eastern and Saturday 9 am to 10 pm Eastern. Asked if Sunday is the same, they said "Saturday and Sunday would be the same." The contact page says Sunday closes earlier, at 9 pm Eastern.
- Have your order number ready if you're calling about an order.
- Canceled events are refunded without you asking. "It will be refunded to your account 7 to 14 business days."
- Postponed events need a call. "You should contact us so that we can process your refund manually if the event organizer is allowing those refunds."
- Tickets not showing up in the app? Check the confirmation email Ticketmaster sent you for information about the tickets you bought.
- On callbacks, the only thing we got was "Callback would be necessary." We didn't follow up, so we don't know whether Ticketmaster will call you back instead of making you wait. The representative did ask, before anything else, whether they could call back on the number we were calling from "just in case this line got disconnected."
We called on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 2:46 pm Eastern, with call4me asking the questions. This page is what we heard.
Listen to the call
The whole call, 7 minutes 7 seconds. Eight short silences, about 6 seconds in total, cover the representative's first name and my name. Nothing else is cut. The phone number our caller reads out at 1:59 is call4me's own number, the one the call came from, not mine.
There was no keypad menu on this call. Everything went through the voice assistant by speaking.
Jump to a moment:
- 0:09 "Hi, I'm Ticketmaster's virtual fan support. This call may be recorded"
- 0:17 We ask for a representative
- 0:28 "Before I escalate your issue to our support team, can you please tell me a little more"
- 0:51 "Are you calling about an existing order or something else?"
- 1:05 "Please hold while I transfer you to a fan support representative"
- 1:26 A survey offer and the zero tolerance notice
- 1:48 A live person: "Hi, thank you for calling Ticketmaster"
- 1:52 "Is it okay to call you back on this number?"
- 2:47 They think we want to change a phone number on file
- 3:11 "I'll be checking here on our internal tools," then a hold of about a minute
- 4:26 The phone number and the hours
- 4:47 "Chat through your account... This is the fastest way to get an agent"
- 5:05 We ask about Sunday: "Saturday and Sunday would be the same"
- 5:20 What to have ready: your order number
- 5:50 We ask about refunds
- 6:01 Canceled events: "refunded to your account 7 to 14 business days"
- 6:10 Postponed events: "contact us so that we can process your refund manually"
- 6:21 Tickets missing from the app: check the confirmation email
- 6:43 We ask about callbacks: "Callback would be necessary"
The Ticketmaster phone tree, step by step
This is how the line answered on October 29, 2026, calling 1-800-653-8000.
- Call 1-800-653-8000. "Hi, I'm Ticketmaster's virtual fan support. This call may be recorded for quality or training purposes. How can I help?" It's a voice assistant that listens for what you say. There's no "press 1" menu.
- Ask for a representative. It answered: "Sure. Before I escalate your issue to our support team, can you please tell me a little more about the issue you're facing?"
- Say what you need in a sentence. We said we wanted to understand phone support hours and the fastest way to reach a person, not about any account. It replied: "First, I just need a little more info so I can route you to the right place. Are you calling about an existing order or something else?"
- Say "something else" (or "existing order" if that's why you're calling; we didn't try that branch). It said "Please hold while I transfer you to a fan support representative."
- A survey offer plays, "please stay on the line to take a quick two-question survey", then: "Before we connect you with an agent, so you're aware, we have a zero tolerance policy for abusive behavior."
- A person answers, 1:48 into the call. Their first two questions were whether they could call back on this number if the line dropped, and a first name.
We weren't asked for an order number, email or account at any point.
What to have ready
- Your order number, if you're calling about an order. That's the one thing the representative named. Ticketmaster's help center explains how to find your order confirmation number.
- The email address you bought the tickets with. The representative pointed to the confirmation email for missing tickets, and the help center says to sign in with the same address the confirmation was sent to.
- A first name to give, and a number they can call you back on if the line drops. Both were asked before anything else.
If you have tickets and can sign in, the representative's advice was to skip the phone and use chat: My Orders, pick your event, then Contact Us.
Refunds for canceled and postponed events
This is what the representative told us, then what Ticketmaster's own help pages say. The two don't fully match on timing.
On the call:
- Canceled: "it will be refunded to your account, 7 to 14 business days."
- Postponed: "you should contact us so that we can process your refund manually if the event organizer is allowing those refunds."
On Ticketmaster's help center:
- What happens if my event is canceled? says "no action is required to obtain a refund." It goes to "the original method of payment used at time of purchase as soon as funds are received from the Event Organizer" and "should appear on your account within 14-21 days," with exceptions including MLB games, the Masters and the US Open Tennis Championships. Transferred and resold tickets follow different rules.
- How do I know if my order is eligible for refunds? says refunds for date changes depend on the Event Organizer, and Ticketmaster "can't override a no-refund policy." If refunds are offered, a Request Refund button appears on your order under My Tickets.
- How long does it take to get my refund? says an approved refund for a postponed or rescheduled event goes back to your original payment method and "should appear on your account within 5-7 business days."
So for a postponed show, look for the Request Refund button first. The representative's "contact us" is the route if you don't see it.
If your tickets don't show up in the app
The representative's answer was to look at the confirmation email for information about the tickets you bought. Ticketmaster's missing order page adds the likely cause: you're signed in with a different email than the one the confirmation went to. It says to:
- Click "View Your Tickets" or "Claim Your Tickets" in the confirmation email, which takes you to the right account.
- Sign in with the email address the confirmation was sent to.
- Check every order for the event if only some tickets show, since separate purchases and transfers get separate order numbers.
- Check spam and junk for transfer offers you haven't accepted.
- Contact the seller if you bought from a resale site and only some tickets were transferred to you.
Other Ticketmaster numbers
Ticketmaster's help center lists two more numbers for specific cases. We didn't call either.
- Locked out of your account: the locked out page gives the same (800) 653-8000, with shorter hours: "Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m to 6 p.m local market time."
- Accessible seating: the accessible tickets page lists (800) 877-7575 for buying accessible tickets and for help ordering with screen reader software. It says "Fans who are not purchasing or requiring assistance with their accessible tickets order won't be serviced on this line."
How we made this recording
call4me is a phone for your AI agent: your agent (Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT) tells it what to get done and it makes the call. For this one, the brief was to reach a live Ticketmaster representative with general questions for this guide, with no account, order or tickets to give, and to note every prompt on the way.
A few things to know about our side of the call:
- The name confused things. Asked for a first name, our caller said it was my assistant, and the representative took my name as the caller's. We kept going rather than correct it a fourth time.
- The representative first misunderstood the question. Asked about "phone support," they thought we wanted to change a phone number on file. Our caller rephrased, and they put us on a short hold to check before answering.
- Our callback question got an unclear answer. "Callback would be necessary" doesn't say whether Ticketmaster offers a callback instead of a hold, and our caller didn't ask again.
We kept the audio as it happened, apart from the muted names.
If you'd rather not sit through the assistant and the hold yourself, call4me can call customer service for you or wait on hold for you. For more phone trees and recorded calls, see the other companies we've called and how long it takes to reach a human at each.
Have your agent make this call
If you use call4me, paste this into your agent:
Call Ticketmaster at 1-800-653-8000. When the virtual assistant answers, ask for a representative, say I'm calling about an existing order, and give it my order number, [order number]. When a person answers, tell them my event, [event, date, venue], was [canceled / postponed / my tickets aren't showing in my account], and that I bought with [the email on the order]. Ask whether I can get a refund, how long it takes, and where the money goes. Don't accept a different date or a credit without asking me.
