Two recorded calls show what got us past the voice menu and what an agent quoted for delivery changes.

We called FPL customer service five times to ask how starting electric service works for someone new to FPL. Four calls stayed in the voice menu. On the fifth, one route got us to an agent, who told us what you need, how fast service is connected, and how the deposit is decided. All five recordings, the exact route, and the phone tree.

Five recordings show why our calls needed a tracking number, how the callback worked, and what the agent said about holding a package.

We called United reservations to ask how changing a flight works and what it costs. Here is the phone tree, the three words that got us to a person, what the agent said about Economy, Basic Economy and same-day changes, where united.com says something different, and the recording.

We called Experian’s freeze line 15 times in one afternoon. Here are the routes we tried and a 9 minute recording of the call that got furthest.

We called Wayfair twice in one evening to ask how returning a big item works and who pays to ship it back. Here's the phone path to a person, what the agents said, and both recordings.

A call4me user ordered the wrong size tires on Costco.com for install at a Costco Tire Center. His agent made the calls to find the order, learn the refund process, and cancel the install appointment. Here's what worked, what didn't, and the recordings.
