SpringHill Suites Phoenix Gilbert: a sold out night and the hotel waitlist
A real call to the Gilbert, Arizona hotel asked the front desk to fit a frequent guest in for three nights after Tuesday showed sold out online. The desk was full, so it put him on the waitlist for that night.
SpringHill Suites by Marriott Phoenix Gilbert is at 1801 South San Tan Village Parkway, Gilbert, Arizona 85295, and its phone number is +1 480-996-0800. That is the number Marriott lists on the hotel's official Marriott page, and it is the number this call dialed. The hotel's own menu answers first: press 1 for Marriott central reservations, press 2 or stay on the line for the front desk, press 3 for the director of sales.
On October 16, 2026, a call4me customer's assistant called the SpringHill Suites Gilbert front desk for a guest who stays there often. He wanted three nights, Monday October 19 through Wednesday October 21, checking out Thursday the 22nd. Marriott.com showed Tuesday night sold out, and the brief was to ask whether the hotel could still fit him in.
The answer was no, not right now. "I am currently sold out," the front desk said. "I don't have any wiggle room at all." The staff member offered a waitlist and a call back from a manager instead, and put the guest on the waitlist for the sold out Tuesday under his last name and Marriott Bonvoy number.
SpringHill Suites Gilbert phone tree and time to a person
- Call 480-996-0800. A recording answers: "Thank you for calling SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Gilbert, Arizona."
- Press 2 or stay on the line for the front desk. Press 1 goes to Marriott central reservations instead, and press 3 to the director of sales.
- A front desk staff member answered 22 seconds into the call. There was no hold before that.
On this call, the front desk is where the waitlist offer came from. The call didn't try central reservations.

| What was done | The guest was put on the waitlist for Tuesday, October 20, under his last name and Bonvoy number |
| Callback number | The desk read back the number the call came from and the assistant confirmed it |
| Rate | Not quoted |
| Booking or hold | None; no confirmation number |
| Sales and marketing manager | The desk gave her first name, direct phone and email after a hold of about 2 minutes |
What the call did not settle
- No room was booked or held, and no rate was quoted for any of the three nights.
- Only Tuesday went on the waitlist. The desk said it would waitlist "that day". The recording doesn't show whether Monday and Wednesday were available on their own.
- Nobody promised a room. A waitlist place isn't a reservation, and the call doesn't show whether a manager later called back.
- The callback number is the call4me line the call came from, not the guest's own phone. The desk read it from caller ID and the assistant agreed. If the hotel calls back, it reaches the account's call4me number.
- The Bonvoy number may be off by one digit. The number the assistant read out had one more digit than the one in its brief. The recording can't show which one is right, so the guest should check the waitlist entry with the hotel.
- The sales manager's details are muted in the recording and transcript. The desk read out her direct line and her email address at the hotel's springhillgilbert.com domain.

When SpringHill Suites Gilbert shows sold out online
On this call, the front desk confirmed what Marriott.com showed. It had nothing for Tuesday and offered a waitlist place and a manager callback instead. If you call about a sold out night yourself:
- Ask for the front desk (press 2). That's where this call got the waitlist offer.
- Give the guest's last name and Bonvoy number. That's what the desk took for the waitlist.
- Give the callback number you actually want. The desk will offer to use the number you're calling from. Say so if that isn't the right one.
- Ask about the other nights separately. This call only waitlisted Tuesday and didn't check whether Monday and Wednesday could be booked on their own.
- Ask for the rate, and whether a waitlisted night would come at that rate if a room opens up. This call didn't get either.
For group blocks or a corporate rate, the menu's press 3 reaches the director of sales directly.
Ask your assistant to call SpringHill Suites Gilbert
Connect call4me to your assistant with the Claude Code guide or the Codex guide. This is a suggested brief, not what the customer used:
Call SpringHill Suites by Marriott Phoenix Gilbert at 480-996-0800 and press 2 for the front desk. Ask for a room for [nights], out [checkout date], under [guest name] and Bonvoy number [number]. If any night is sold out, ask whether the other nights can be booked on their own, ask for the nightly rate, and ask to join the waitlist for the sold out night. Give [my callback number] as the callback, not the number you're calling from. Don't give payment details or accept a prepaid or non-refundable rate. Confirm exactly which nights are booked and which are waitlisted before hanging up.
