Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch reservations: confirming three rooms and a crib by phone
A real call to the hotel checked three rooms booked for December. Staff would not search by name alone, then found all three rooms once they had a confirmation number, and added a crib note to the king room.
The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch is at 0130 Daybreak Ridge, Avon, Colorado 81620, in the Bachelor Gulch area of Beaver Creek. The hotel's official page lists +1 970-748-6200 as the hotel phone and +1 800-576-5582 as the toll free number. The 970 number is the one dialed on this call. A staff member answered it directly, with no phone menu.
If you call to check a booking, have the confirmation number ready. On this call, staff said the hotel would not look up a reservation by guest name and dates: "Ritz Carlton has a strong policy for privacy and security, and what we must have is the confirmation number." Once they had one number, they found all three rooms.
On October 2, 2026, a call4me customer's assistant called the hotel to confirm an existing booking for three rooms, Friday, December 4 to Tuesday, December 8, 2026: one king room and two rooms with two queen beds, plus a crib. The assistant was told to confirm only and change nothing, except to add a crib request if one was missing.

What this call did not confirm
- Rates, deposits and cancellation terms. None were discussed, so the call does not establish what the customer will pay or the deadline to cancel.
- Which room the crib ends up in. Staff said a crib was already on a two queen room and that they would "put it on the king as well". The call does not establish whether both notes remain, or that a crib will be in either room on arrival.
- Email or written confirmation. Nobody mentioned sending one.
- Anything else on the booking. The guest name, dates and room types were checked. Guarantees, rates and other details on file were not read back.

Representative: Thank you for calling the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch. I'm [staff name muted]. How may I assist
AI agent: Hi [staff name muted], this is [guest name muted] assistant. I was just hoping to confirm an existing reservation for three rooms, December 4th to the 8th, under [guest name muted].
Representative: What I'll need is the confirmation number for privacy and security. Um, what is that confirmation number
AI agent: Hmm. Okay. Uh, let me check on that real quick.
Representative: Certainly
AI agent: Still waiting to hear back, thanks for bearing with me.
Representative: Certainly
AI agent: Hmm. I don't have that confirmation number handy. Could you maybe verify the reservation by guest name, [guest name muted], the dates are December 4th through the 8th?
Representative: Unfortunately not. Ritz Carlton has a strong policy for privacy and security, and what we must have is the confirmation number. So, once they are able to provide that to you, we'll be most happy to look that up and assist.
Representative: Are you there
Representative: Hello
AI agent: Sorry, I'm still here, just still checking on that, one sec. Hmm.
AI agent: Still waiting to hear back, thanks for bearing with me. Okay, I have two confirmation numbers: [confirmation number muted] and [start of a second confirmation number muted]
Representative: Wait, wait, wait. Is this a, is this a, are you, um, is this a... Sounds almost like this is a robot. Is this a real person speaking here
AI agent: Ha, yeah, I'm an AI assistant working for [guest first name muted]. Just trying to confirm those rooms.
Representative: Okay. Uh, what I need is the confirmation number one at a time, slowly
AI agent: Sure. First one: [confirmation number muted].
Representative: And again, the name on that, first and last name
AI agent: It's [guest name muted].
Representative: Okay. Um, bear with me now. I'm going to look up and I, one of those confirmation numbers is sufficient. Now, you mentioned that there are three reservations
AI agent: Yep. Three rooms total. One king and two with two queen beds.
[About 33 seconds of quiet while staff search. Retained in the recording.]
Representative: Could you do me a favor and spell the last name for me
AI agent: Sure. [surname spelling muted].
Representative: And there we go. I was having a hard time. Okay, so December 4th through the 8th on all three of 'em. And that would be in on a Friday, out on a Tuesday. Um, I'm showing a king, I'm showing two queens. And I'm showing also another room that's got two queen size beds
AI agent: Perfect. And there's also a note for a crib with one of the rooms.
Representative: Uh, is it a preference to have that in the king or one of the rooms with the queens
AI agent: Hmm. 'Kay, let me check. Still waiting to hear back, thanks for bearing with me. Okay, let's put the crib in the king room for now. And could you please read back all three confirmation numbers with their room types?
Representative: They actually did have the crib on the room with the two beds. But I'll put it on the king as well. Let's see here. Bear with me one second, please
AI agent: Sure. No problem.
[About 18 seconds of quiet. Retained in the recording.]
Representative: Okay, that's been noted. Now, you did say something about, um, the reservations reading something back. What was that
AI agent: Yeah, could you read back all three confirmation numbers with their room types?
Representative: Let's see. I've got a king size, and that's [confirmation number muted]
AI agent: Okay.
Representative: And then concerning the two beds, the two queens, I've got [confirmation number muted]
AI agent: Mhm.
Representative: And I've got the other room with two beds that are queens, is [confirmation number muted]
AI agent: Perfect. Yep, thanks.
Representative: You're welcome! Did you need anything further
AI agent: Nope, that's all for now. Thanks again! Bye.
Representative: Certainly. Have a good day! Bye
AI agent: Bye!
Before you call Bachelor Gulch about a booking
The one thing that slowed this call down was the missing confirmation number. The assistant did not have it at the start, asked the customer, and kept staff waiting for about a minute while it checked. Staff were clear that a name and dates would not be enough. If you only have one of several room confirmations, that was fine here: "one of those confirmation numbers is sufficient" to pull up all three rooms booked together.
Staff also asked for the last name spelled before the search worked, so have the exact spelling on the booking ready too.
Say up front what you want done with each request. Here, the crib was already on a two queen room, the customer's instruction put it in the king room, and the result was a note on both. If you want the crib moved rather than added, say "move", and ask staff to read back which room has it.
Marriott's hotel information page lists check in at 4:00 PM and check out at 11:00 AM. The call did not discuss either time.
Ask your assistant to confirm a hotel reservation
Connect call4me to your assistant through the Claude Code guide or Codex guide. The following is a suggested brief, not what the customer used.
Call The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch at +1 970-748-6200 to confirm my existing reservation. Give the confirmation number [your number] and spell the last name if asked. Check the dates [check in and check out], each room type, and any requests such as a crib, and ask which room each request is on. Ask for the rate, deposit and cancellation deadline to be read back. Don't change or cancel anything, and ask staff to read back the confirmation number for each room.
