Inn at Jim Thorpe reservations: the phone number, and a sold out October weekend

A real call to the Inn at Jim Thorpe asked for a two night room in late October. The front desk said it was sold out, and the only option on two nearby weekends was a queen room in its 44 West Broadway building for $649.64.

The Inn at Jim Thorpe phone number is 800-329-2599. The inn's official contact page lists 1-800-329-2599 and the email reservations@innjt.com, and gives the address as 24 Broadway, Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania 18229. That is the number dialed on this call. The contact page doesn't list hours.

A recorded menu answers first. For the front desk and reservations, press 2. On this call a person at the front desk picked up 41 seconds after the line connected, with no hold.

On October 1, 2026, a call4me customer's assistant called that number to ask about a room for two adults, checking in Friday, October 23 and checking out Sunday, October 25, 2026. The assistant was told to gather information only: no booking, no hold, no deposit. The budget was up to $300 a night including taxes and fees.

The front desk said the inn was sold out that weekend. Asked about the weekends before and after, the only room offered was in a separate building three blocks from the main inn, at a total of $649.64 for two nights.

The Inn at Jim Thorpe phone menu

This is the menu as it played on October 1, 2026, calling 800-329-2599.

  1. "Hello, and thank you for calling the Inn at Jim Thorpe." It points you to innjt.com "for last minute specials and detailed information about the Inn".
  2. "If you know your party's extension, please enter it now."
  3. The options: Broadway Grill, press 1. Front desk and reservations, press 2. Bookkeeping, press 7. Maintenance, press 8.
  4. The line rings, then the front desk answers: "The Inn at Jim Thorpe, how can I help you". On our call that was at 0:41.

Key presses don't show up in the recording, so the menu choice itself isn't audible. The call went from the menu straight to ringing and a person, with no queue or hold message.

[The line rings.]

Representative: The Inn at Jim Thorpe, how can I help you?

AI agent: Hi! This is [customer name muted] assistant. I'm just calling to ask if you have any rooms available for two adults, check in Friday, October 23rd, check out Sunday, October 25th, 2026?

Representative: I do not.

AI agent: Oh, no problem. Are you sold out that weekend?

Representative: Yeah, I am.

AI agent: Gotcha. Is there availability the weekend before, October 16th through the 18th, or the following, October 30th to November 1st, for a two night stay under $300 a night with taxes and fees?

Representative: I can check, one second.

AI agent: Thanks.

Representative: Um, the only thing that I have available is going to be at another building. We have a building, it is 44 West Broadway Building. It's about three blocks away from the main inn. It does not have an elevator, a front desk, or a restaurant, and I have a standard room with a queen size bed on the first floor, for two nights, two people, total stay is six forty nine sixty four.

AI agent: Okay, that's above the budget, but thanks for giving me that for comparison. There's nothing at all that's in the main inn those weekends?

Representative: No.

AI agent: Okay. That's all I needed. Thanks again.

Representative: Mm-hmm. You're welcome. Bye bye.

AI agent: Bye.

Asking about Inn at Jim Thorpe prices by phone

The brief did two useful things. It named backup weekends up front, so when October 23 to 25 came back sold out, the assistant asked about both alternatives in the same breath instead of hanging up. And it set an all in budget, which let the assistant say plainly that $649.64 was over it, while still getting the price "for comparison".

What it would have done better: ask about one weekend at a time. Bundling both meant the answer didn't say which weekend the West Broadway room was for. If staying in the main inn matters to you, say so: the West Broadway building has no elevator, front desk or restaurant, which the front desk mentioned before the price.

Ask your assistant to check rooms

Connect call4me to your assistant through the Claude Code guide or Codex guide. The following is a suggested brief, not what the customer used.

Call the Inn at Jim Thorpe at 800-329-2599 and press 2 for the front desk. Ask whether there's a room for [number of guests] from [check in date] to [check out date], in the main inn at 24 Broadway. If it's sold out, ask about [backup dates] one weekend at a time, and say which weekend each answer is for. For any room offered, get the room type, building, nightly rate and the full total with taxes and fees, plus the deposit, cancellation deadline, and whether parking and the breakfast voucher are included. Don't book, hold or give card details.
