Uber Eats customer service number: what happens when you call
Uber says it doesn't offer a customer service phone number for Uber Eats. The one Uber Eats support line on its help center, 1-833-ASK-EATS, is for restaurants. We called it twice and reached a live person. Here's what she said about customers, refunds and callbacks, and the full recording.
The short answer: Uber Eats doesn't have a customer service phone number. Uber's Uber Eats help center says so at the top: "While we don't offer a customer service phone number for Uber Eats, you can log in to your account to get personalized support." Uber's How to contact support page sends you to Help in the app, and says only Diamond members get a premium support line, through a "Call us" button once you're logged in.
The only Uber Eats support number on Uber's help center is 1-833-ASK-EATS (1-833-275-3287), on its Contact us page for merchants and restaurants. It's the line for restaurants and stores, not people who ordered food.
We called it anyway, twice, on Thursday, October 29, 2026. Here's what happens:
- A recording: "Thank you for calling Uber Merchant Support. This is an automated recorded call."
- An automated assistant answers and says "this line is just for restaurants and merchants." It told us "There isn't a phone number for customers" and to use the Uber Eats app or website.
- We asked twice for a live person, and it said "Let me connect you to a team member."
- A live Uber Eats Merchant Support agent answered 2 minutes 27 seconds into the call.
What the agent told us:
- There's no phone number just for customers. "We don't have like a specific phone number for customers." The fastest way is to "go in their app and press help," where you chat with support.
- If a customer does call this line, "if the customer say, like I'm a customer, I need to resolve the problem, we are able to transfer them very quick." We didn't ask to be transferred, so we don't know where that goes or how long it takes.
- Missing or wrong items get refunded through the app. You "create a report or request a refund for a specific item," and "the system refunds them automatically" with a message confirming it. She added that this is "not my department."
- Uber Eats doesn't usually call customers back. "It's not like usual that we contact the customers," and "person with person, no, not really."
- The line is 24/7. After checking, she came back with "We have 24-7 for customers and merchants." Uber's merchant page also says 1-833-ASK-EATS is for contacting "Uber Support 24/7."
We called at about 2:49 pm Eastern with call4me asking the questions. This page is what we heard. If you're after Uber rides rather than Uber Eats, see our Uber customer service number guide: riders don't get a regular phone line either, and Uber's premium rider line asks for the phone number on your account.
Listen to the call
The second call, the whole thing, 10 minutes 11 seconds. Two short silences (under a second each) cover the agent's first name. Nothing else is muted or cut, and our caller didn't say my name or any number. The quiet stretch from about 7:44 to 9:41 is the agent checking on the 24/7 question.
Jump to a moment:

- 2:15 "Let me connect you to a team member"
- 2:27 A live agent: "Thanks for calling Uber Eats Merchant Support"
- 3:00 "We don't have like a specific phone number for customers"

The 1-833-ASK-EATS phone tree, step by step
This is the line as it played on October 29, 2026, calling 1-833-275-3287.
- Call 1-833-275-3287. "Thank you for calling Uber Merchant Support. This is an automated recorded call. Just a moment while I connect you." There was no keypad menu on either of our calls.
- An automated assistant: "Hello, thanks for calling Uber Merchant Support. How can I help you?" You talk to it in plain sentences.
- Ask for a live representative. The first time, it answered the question itself: "There's no phone support for customers, just the app or website." When our caller asked again, for the fastest way to reach a person, it said "Let me connect you to a team member."
- A person, about 10 seconds later: "Hello, thanks for calling Uber Eats Merchant Support." That was 2 minutes 27 seconds into the call.
On our first call, a couple of minutes earlier, the assistant said "I can only answer questions about merchant support," our caller didn't ask for a person, and the call ended after 2 minutes without reaching one.
Uber's merchant help page about reaching a partnership manager describes a keypad menu on this number (press 1 for merchants, then 3 to sign up a new store). We didn't hear that menu on either call.
How to get help with an Uber Eats order
From Uber's help pages and what the agent said:
- Open the order in the Uber Eats app and tap Help. Uber's contact page says you can "contact support 24/7" through its help articles: wrong or missing items, food quality, a damaged order, an order that never arrived, and problems with a delivery person.
- Report it within 48 hours. Uber's Wrong or missing items page asks you to contact them within that window, or they "may be unable to provide a refund." Name the exact items, and add a photo if you got the wrong item. Uber says it won't replace the order, but you may be eligible for a refund.
- Look for the confirmation message. The agent said refunds for an item come through automatically once you request them, with a message confirming it. Don't wait for a phone call: she said Uber Eats doesn't usually call customers.
- If you're a Diamond member, Uber's help center says you get a premium support line through "Call us" in the app. We aren't members, so we couldn't see what number it dials.
Things that don't work
On October 29, 2026:
- Expecting 1-833-ASK-EATS to handle your order. The assistant said "If a customer calls this line by mistake, we can't assist them directly." The agent said they can transfer customers, but we didn't test it.
- Asking the assistant for a person once. The first time we asked, it answered the question itself. The second ask, phrased as a question about reaching a person, got us transferred.
- Waiting for a callback. The agent said Uber Eats doesn't usually call customers about order issues.
Watch out for other "Uber Eats customer service" numbers in search results. Uber's own Uber Eats help pages list none for customers, so take any number from Uber's site or app, not from a directory site or a search ad.
How we made these recordings
call4me is a phone for your AI agent: your agent (Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT) tells it what to get done and it makes the call. More recorded calls like this are on an AI that calls customer service for you. For these, the brief was to ask Uber Eats support how customers reach a person, with no order, store or account to give.
A few things to know about our side of the calls:
- Our first call didn't push for a person. When the assistant said it could only answer merchant questions, our caller thanked it and hung up after 2 minutes. On that call our caller also said my name, so we haven't published that recording. We called back with a clearer brief to ask for a representative.
- Our caller asked a confusing last question. It asked whether "this merchant line" is staffed 24/7. The agent asked whether we had a store or were a customer, checked, and answered for both: "We have 24-7 for customers and merchants."
- The agent's refund answer was secondhand. She said refunds for customers are "not my department" and spoke "in my experience."
We kept the audio as it happened, apart from the muted name.
For other food delivery lines we've called, see DoorDash and Instacart, or the other companies we've called.
Have your agent make this call
If you use call4me, paste this into your agent:
Call Uber Eats support at 1-833-275-3287. When the automated assistant answers, say I'm an Uber Eats customer with a problem with my order from [restaurant, date] and ask for a live representative. If it says it can't help, ask again how to reach a person. If a person answers, tell them [what was missing or wrong] and ask what they can do and how long a refund takes. Don't give out my card number or password, and don't agree to any change on my account. If they say they can't help customers, write down exactly what they say and hang up.

Thursday, October 29, 2026, about 2:49 pm Eastern. "Uber" is Uber's recorded greeting. "Assistant" is Uber's automated assistant. "Agent" is the live person. "Caller" is the call4me agent. The agent's first name is muted in the audio and shown in brackets here.
0:04 Uber: Thank you for calling Uber Merchant Support. This is an automated recorded call. Just a moment while I connect you.
0:15 Assistant: Hello, thanks for calling Uber Merchant Support. How can I help you?
0:20 Caller: Hi. Yeah, I'm Jordan, calling with a few general questions for a guide about how Uber Eats customers reach support. Can I ask a couple things?
0:34 Assistant: Hey, Jordan. Absolutely. Go ahead. What would you like to know about how Uber Eats customers reach support?
0:42 Caller: Yeah, so I just want to check, is this line just for restaurants and merchants, or can customers with like missing or wrong orders get help here too?
0:56 Assistant: Right. So this line is just for restaurants and merchants like yourself. Customers who have issues with their orders, like missing items or wrong deliveries, need to reach out through the Uber Eats app or website for support. Is there anything else you want to clarify about how that works?
1:09 Caller: Yeah, thanks. If a customer accidentally calls this number, is there any phone number for them, or do they just have to use the app?
1:22 Assistant: Good question. There isn't a phone number for customers. They need to use the Uber Eats app or website to get help. If a customer calls this line by mistake, we can't assist them directly, but we'll let them know to use the app for support. Anything else you're curious about?
1:36 Caller: Could I speak with a live representative real quick, to confirm a few details for consumers?
1:47 Assistant: Oh, I get why you'd want to double check with someone. For questions about how consumers get support, I can give you the most accurate info right here. There's no phone support for customers, just the app or website. Is there a specific detail you want to confirm?
2:01 Caller: Yeah, just what's the fastest way for a customer to reach a live person if they've got an order issue?
2:15 Assistant: Let me connect you to a team member who can help you with your question.
2:21 Caller: Perfect, thanks. I'll wait.
2:27 Agent: Hello, thanks for calling Uber Eats Merchant Support. I'm [name removed] speaking. How are you today?
2:33 Caller: Hi, [name removed]. I'm doing well, thank you. Just had a question.
2:43 Agent: Tell me.
2:43 Caller: So what's the fastest way for an Uber Eats customer, not a restaurant, to reach a live person when there's a problem with their order?
2:58 Agent: Oh, okay, got it. Well, the fastest is that we don't have like a specific phone number for customers. They have the option to go in their app and press help when they have a problem, and they are going to chat, a lot of things. But I'm able to provide you, for example, a phone number. They are going to contact with my department, Merchant, but if the customer say, like I'm a customer, I need to resolve the problem, we are able to transfer them very quick. We have these two options.
3:42 Caller: Okay, that makes sense. And how do refunds usually work for something that's missing or wrong from their order?
3:53 Agent: Okay. Well, for example, the first thing is that if you notice as a restaurant that you have to refund, you have to call us, and we are going to refund for a specific item, full order, you know. But they have another option. If they contact us, we are going to escalate or see what happened. But between us also, it's kind of longer, you know, like a very big process, because meanwhile, they are contacting us again, again, again. Now, they have the option, for example, when they have an order, they are able to put like a wallet, I think, it's because it's not my department, but in my experience, they have an option as a wallet and create a report or request a refund for a specific item, for example, if it's the case, you know.
5:00 Caller: Right. Okay. And does Uber Eats ever call customers back about order issues, or is it all handled inside the app?
5:11 Agent: Well, depends. For example, when you as a store contact us, we send a message explaining the situation. Could be like the delivery partner took the food, or we are going to cancel your order because the restaurant was out of stock, all of them, you know. And we send a message and we refund, you know. But it's not like usual that we contact the customers. No. Not really, because, you know, we have a lot of customers, a lot of restaurants, and it's difficult to contact them. But the system refunds them automatically when they present like a request, and it's like a confirmation, messaging confirmation.
6:10 Caller: Right.
6:11 Agent: But like person with person, no, not really. We have to receive a call for the store first.
6:20 Caller: Okay, perfect. That helps a lot. Thank you. One last thing. Is this merchant line staffed by people 24/7?
6:31 Agent: Yeah. Let me request that for you. One second.
6:40 Caller: Sure, no problem.
6:43 Agent: I think that, yes. If you want, you have a store, right? Or you are a customer?
6:52 Caller: Checking whether it's staffed 24/7. No, I don't have a store. I'm just asking in general for the guide.
7:01 Agent: Oh, okay. Got it, got it. Okay. Give me two minutes. I'm going to validate, and I'll be back with you, okay?
7:10 Caller: Sure, no problem.
7:12 Agent: Thank you so much. But before I go, I need just to validate. It's because I have to put like an internal note about this call. Do you have an account with Uber or just like a user?
7:29 Caller: Checking, yeah. No account or store. I'm just calling with general questions.
7:37 Agent: Perfect. Give me two minutes, and I'll be back with you.
7:42 Caller: Of course.
7:43 Agent: Thank you.
[Hold, about 2 minutes.]
9:41 Agent: Hello, miss. Are you there?
9:43 Caller: Yes, I'm here.
9:45 Agent: Thank you so much. I'm validating our system. Yep, that's correct. We have 24-7 for customers and merchants. Okay?
9:58 Caller: Great. Thank you for confirming that. That's everything I needed.
10:03 Agent: Awesome. Thanks so much for...
10:05 Caller: Yeah, thank you so much for your help. Bye.
10:08 Agent: Bye-bye. Thank you.
[The call ends here. Our caller hung up.]
