Chase credit card customer service number: how we reached a person
Call 1 800 432 3117 for Chase credit card customer service. We reached a live specialist after 2 minutes 14 seconds without supplying a card number, then asked general dispute questions. Hear the call and the exact route.
The Chase credit card customer service number is 1 800 432 3117. Chase lists it as Card Customer Service on its official customer service page. We called that number and reached a live specialist 2 minutes 14 seconds into the recording.
This is the credit card line. Chase lists 1 800 935 9935 separately for personal banking, including checking, savings and debit card questions. Our recording does not test that banking line.
We called on October 24, 2026, at 6:27 pm Eastern, using call4me. We explained that we had no Chase account and wanted general information about credit card disputes. No card number, Social Security number or customer account was supplied. We checked Chase's official contact page again on November 2, but did not make another call for this guide.
How we reached a person at Chase Card Services
This is the route that worked for our general inquiry without an account:
- Call 1 800 432 3117. After a recording notice, the greeting identified Chase Card Services.
- Listen to the account prompt. It first asked for a full card number. It also offered the pound key for a menu covering lost or stolen cards, replacements, disputes and application status.
- Use the option that matches your situation. Because we had no card number, our route continued to the option for callers without an account number, press 1.
- The next prompt asked for a Social Security number. Our caller said, "I don't have that. Agent."
- Wait for the specialist option. The menu then said to press or say 0 to speak with a customer service specialist. Our caller said "0", and the system announced the connection.
The greeting from a person came at 2:14. We asked general questions and received general answers. This does not show that Chase will access or change a card account without verifying the cardmember, or that saying "agent" always produces the same route.
If you are calling about your own account, follow the current prompts and have the cardmember available to verify directly. Do not use our lack of an account as a reason to misstate your situation.
Listen to the credit card support call
The complete recording is about four and a half minutes. The already published audio silences the specialist's name in two places and the caller's last name. Nothing else is muted or cut, so the timestamps follow the original call timeline.
| Time in recording | What happened |
|---|---|
| 0:07 | The greeting identified Chase Card Services |
| 0:15 | The menu requested a full credit card account number |
| 0:51 | It listed lost card, replacement, dispute and application options |
| 1:07 | It gave the option for callers without an account number |
| 1:27 | The next prompt requested a Social Security number |
| 1:33 | The caller said they did not have one to supply and asked for an agent |
| 1:38 | The menu offered 0 for a customer service specialist |
| 1:49 | The transfer was announced |
| 2:14 | A specialist answered |
| 2:37 | The caller explained the general inquiry and lack of an account |
| 3:20 | The specialist said debit card disputes use another department |
| 4:20 | The specialist said the line was open around the clock |
The full transcript and the answers about disputes are in our Chase dispute guide. That article also separates the specialist's answers from Chase's published dispute instructions.
The live greeting in the recording was:
2:14 Specialist: [Name], Chase. Who am I speaking with?
Which Chase number should you use?
Chase's official customer service page distinguishes these two routes:
| Your question | Number or starting point | What we tested |
|---|---|---|
| Chase credit card support | 1 800 432 3117 | A general inquiry about card disputes, with a person reached at 2:14 |
| Checking, savings or debit card support | 1 800 935 9935 | Not tested in this call |
| Managing a card online | Chase Credit Card Resource Center | Not tested in this call |
The card resource center provides account tools for payments, replacing or locking a card, alerts and other settings. Sign in there if you want to use those online options. We did not test a payment, replacement, card lock or account change by phone or online.
The phone menu also announced a business credit card option during our transfer. We did not select it, so this recording does not establish that route or its wait.
What are Chase credit card customer service hours?
When we asked about this line's hours during the October 24 call, the specialist said it was open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We reached a person on a Saturday evening.
That is the representative's answer for the line we called. The official contact page we checked on November 2 lists the number but does not state its hours. Our one call does not independently verify overnight or holiday coverage, or the hours of another Chase department.
What should you have ready?
For your own credit card issue, have your card and a clear description of the question ready. The automated system may ask the cardmember to verify details before discussing the account. If an assistant handles the menu and hold, join when Chase needs you and supply sensitive details directly.
For a charge question, have the merchant, transaction date, amount and explanation ready. The specialist said the amount and reason were needed for a dispute. The dispute guide covers the rest of that conversation and links to Chase's current instructions.
Our call established access to a person who answered general questions. We did not open a dispute, obtain a credit, access an account or confirm a resolution.
Have your assistant make your Chase call
Connect your assistant through the call4me installation guide, then describe the actual task:
Help me contact Chase about my credit card. Ask what I need resolved before calling and verify the current card support number on Chase's official website. Explain my actual issue and ask for a person if needed. Arrange for me to join when Chase asks for a card number, Social Security number or account verification so I can provide it directly. Do not ask me to paste account secrets into this chat. Bring back the answer and any next step. Do not file a dispute, make a payment, replace or close a card, or change an account setting without my approval.
Calls use your call4me credits. The recorded route and wait describe this test, not a guaranteed result for another cardmember. The company phone directory has more recorded routes, including Capital One and Wells Fargo.
