Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy phone number: the main line, and a real store call
Walgreens lists one support number for specialty pharmacy questions, and each specialty store has its own line. A call4me customer's assistant called the Sacramento store to cancel a flu shot. Here is the phone tree, what staff confirmed, and the full 3 minute recording.
The short answer: the Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy phone number for general questions is 888-782-8443. Walgreens' specialty pharmacy page says: "Questions? Call our Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy retail support center at 888-782-8443 Monday through Friday 8 am to 10 pm ET." We did not call that number for this guide.
Each Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy store also has its own line, and that is the one to call about something booked at that store. The call on this page went to the Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy in Sacramento, at 1020 29th St, Sacramento, CA 95816. Its Walgreens store page lists 916-738-3300, the number that was dialed, and pharmacy hours of 8 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, closed Saturday and Sunday. To find a Walgreens specialty pharmacy near you and its direct line, use the Walgreens store locator.
On the Sacramento line, this path reached a person:
- At "How can I help you today", the assistant said "representative". The system read out a keypad menu instead of transferring.
- Choose 4, "to speak with the pharmacy staff". The assistant said "let's do four", and the system transferred the call.
- A recorded note gave the hours, then a short silence and ringing played while the call transferred.
A member of the pharmacy staff answered 1 minute 23 seconds into the call. There was no hold message.
On Thursday, October 8, 2026, a call4me customer's assistant called that store to cancel a flu shot appointment for the next day. Staff found the booking, asked whether it should be rescheduled, and said they would cancel it once the assistant said no.

What this call did not confirm
- No cancellation number or email was given. The confirmation is the staff member's spoken statement. The recording does not show the booking disappearing from the system.
- The name on the record did not match. Staff said the booking showed a different first name, asked "is that the same person", and the assistant said yes. Both names are muted. Matching the date of birth is what tied the call to the booking.
- The staff member's question about the date is partly unclear. The automatic transcriptions disagree on one word ("you said" or "he said") just before "it's for the ninth, tomorrow".
- We did not call 888-782-8443, so we don't know its phone tree, wait time or whether it handles store appointments.
- Nothing was said about fees, rebooking rules or insurance.
Listen to the call
The complete recording lasts 2 minutes 53 seconds, with original voices and timing. Six short silences cover the patient's name (four times), the different name on the staff record and the date of birth. The store, its number and the appointment time remain audible, since they are public or don't identify anyone. Nothing is cut.
Jump to a moment:

Calling a Walgreens specialty pharmacy store: what to have ready
- The store's own number. The flu shot was booked at this store, and its line went straight to that store's staff after option 4.
- The patient's full name and date of birth. Staff asked who the appointment was for, then for the date of birth, before cancelling.
- The appointment's date, time and type. Staff confirmed it was "for the flu shot" before ending the call.
- A clear answer on rescheduling. Staff offered it first. Decide before calling whether you want a new time.
- Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy hours for your store. The Sacramento pharmacy closes at 5:30 pm on weekdays and is closed on weekends, per its store page and the recorded message.
Ask your assistant to make this call
Connect call4me to your agent with the Claude Code guide or the Codex guide. This is a suggested brief, not what the customer used:
Call the Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy store where my appointment is booked, using the number on its Walgreens store page. If a menu plays, choose the option to speak with pharmacy staff. Cancel my [vaccine or service] appointment on [date] at [time], under [name], date of birth [date of birth]. Do not reschedule or book anything new. If the name on the record looks different, check the date of birth before agreeing it is the same booking. Ask for a confirmation if they can give one, then tell me exactly what staff said.
