Priceline customer service: how to reach a person at 1-877-477-5807

We called Priceline's customer service number with no booking. An automated assistant, then a trip number menu, then a 22 minute hold. Here is every prompt, what the representative said about changes, cancellations and non-refundable refunds, and the full 26 minute recording.

The short answer: the Priceline customer service number is 1-877-477-5807. Priceline's own homepage lists it in its site data as a toll-free "customer service" contact: "telephone":"1-877-477-5807","contactType":"customer service" (priceline.com). We couldn't find hours on a Priceline page we could open. Priceline's help links (help.priceline.com) sent us to its "Penny" chat assistant instead. When we asked the representative if phone agents are available 24/7, the answer was: "Every day of the week."

You don't need a booking to get a person, but the phone system will ask for one again and again. This got us through:

  1. Say you don't have a trip number or phone number. An automated assistant answers and asks for one. After our third "I don't have one", it said "let me connect you with someone".
  2. It doesn't connect you yet. A second menu starts over and asks: "the phone number linked to your reservation or your trip number?"
  3. Keep not giving it a number. It asked for a trip number three times, then said "I'm having trouble understanding that request" four times. After the fourth: "You'll now be connected with one of our agents who can help you further."
  4. Wait. Hold music and a repeating "Your call is very important to us and will be answered in the order it was received." No wait time was announced.

A live Priceline representative answered 25 minutes 9 seconds into the call, after about 22 minutes on hold. The representative told us:

We called on Friday, October 9, 2026, at about 3:36 pm Eastern, with call4me. This page is what we heard.

Priceline customer service number 1-877-477-5807, and how we reached a live person

Listen to the call

The whole call, 26 minutes 31 seconds, hold music included. One short silence (about half a second, at 25:11) covers the representative's first name. Nothing else is muted or cut. Our caller didn't say my name or any number.

Jump to a moment:

The Priceline customer service phone tree, step by step

This is the Priceline phone number path as of October 9, 2026. No keys were pressed on our call; everything was spoken.

  1. Call 1-877-477-5807. "Thank you for calling Priceline. Calls may be monitored."
  2. An automated assistant asks for your trip number or phone number. "Got it. I'm here to help. Do you have your trip number, or would you like to use your phone number to look up your reservation?" It understands full sentences. If you have a booking, giving the number is the obvious route. We didn't have one.
  3. Say you don't have one, more than once. It said "To connect you with the right help, I will need to verify your identity first", then "Just to get you to the right team, do you have a trip number or phone number from any Priceline booking?" After our third no: "No problem at all. Since you don't have a trip or phone number, let me connect you with someone who can help with your general question."
  4. A second, older-style menu. Instead of a person: "Thank you for calling Priceline. Calls may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance purposes. To find your reservation, which would you like to use, the phone number linked to your reservation or your trip number?"
  5. It loops. Our caller said "Trip number" here (a mistake, see below), then "Representative" and "Agent". The menu said "Please say or enter your trip number" three times, then "I'm sorry, I'm having trouble understanding that request. Sorry, I didn't get that. Please say trip number or phone number" three times.
  6. The fourth miss sends you to an agent. Our caller said "Phone number. I don't have a booking, though." The menu answered: "I'm sorry, I'm having trouble understanding that request. You'll now be connected with one of our agents who can help you further."
  7. Hold, about 22 minutes on our call. Music, with "Thank you for calling. Your call is very important to us and will be answered in the order it was received" repeating.
  8. "Thank you for contacting Travel Services." The representative gave a first name and asked for yours.

We don't know exactly which answer in step 5 or 6 triggered the transfer. What we saw is that it came right after the fourth "having trouble understanding that request". Saying "representative" and "agent" didn't do anything on their own.

What the Priceline representative said about changes, cancellations and refunds

We asked about hotel bookings only.

Can a hotel booking be changed or canceled by phone? "So, it does depend on the cancel policy, because we do have bookings that are fully refundable up until maybe two days prior before the reservation. Then yes, you can call any time through to us to cancel them, or you can cancel it on your end. It will allow you to cancel on your end as well."

"Maybe two days prior" was an example, not a rule for every booking. Check the cancellation policy on your own reservation.

What about a non-refundable booking? "So it is up to the property to decide. However, you will need to provide us with a valid reason why you'd like to cancel that specific booking."

The representative started to say something about bookings made in error ("And then if maybe you made an error"), then stopped and let our caller continue. We didn't follow up, so we don't know the rest.

Are phone agents available 24/7? "Every day of the week." No hours were given.

What to have ready

Things that don't work

On October 9, 2026:

How we made this recording

call4me is a phone for your AI agent: your agent (Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT) tells it what to get done and it makes the call. For this one, the brief was to reach a person at Priceline with no booking and ask about changes, cancellations, non-refundable refunds and phone hours.

Our caller got a few things wrong:

We kept the audio as it happened, apart from the muted name. If you're looking at other travel companies, we also called Delta customer service. For other companies we've called, see /companies.

Have your agent make this call

If you use call4me, paste this into your agent:

Call Priceline customer service at 1-877-477-5807. An automated assistant asks for a trip number or the phone number on the reservation: [give my trip number / say I don't have one and have a general question]. If it starts a second menu asking "phone number or trip number", [give it / don't pick an option you can't complete; say you don't have a booking until it says it's connecting you to an agent]. Don't narrate your progress out loud. Expect a long hold (about 22 minutes on our call) and stay on the line. When a person answers, ask: [your question, for example whether my non-refundable hotel booking can be refunded and what reason they need]. Don't cancel or change anything without asking me first.

The transcript follows the recording. "Caller" is the call4me agent. "Priceline" is the automated system, not a person. "Representative" is the live person; their first name is muted in the audio and shown as [representative] here. No keys were pressed.

0:00 Priceline: Thank you for calling Priceline.

0:03 Priceline: Calls may be monitored.

0:08 Priceline: Got it. I'm here to help. Do you have your trip number, or would you like to use your phone number to look up your reservation?

0:15 Caller: I don't actually have an account. I just have a general question. Can I talk to a representative?

0:25 Priceline: To connect you with the right help, I will need to verify your identity first. Do you have your trip number or phone number from a booking?

0:34 Caller: I don't. I'm just looking for some general information, so I was hoping to chat with a representative.

0:43 Priceline: I understand. Just to get you to the right team, do you have a trip number or phone number from any Priceline booking?

0:51 Caller: Nope, sorry, I don't have one. Could I speak with someone directly?

0:59 Priceline: No problem at all. Since you don't have a trip or phone number, let me connect you with someone who can help with your general question.

1:07 Priceline: Thank you for calling Priceline. Calls may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance purposes. To find your reservation, which would you like to use, the phone number linked to your reservation or your trip number?

1:20 Caller: Trip number.

1:24 Priceline: Please say or enter your trip number.

1:28 Caller: Representative. I'm still trying to reach a live person. How can we get out of this trip lookup flow?

1:36 Priceline: Please say or enter your trip number.

1:44 Caller: Still stuck in the lookup. Agent. I'm not a customer with an account.

1:50 Priceline: Please say or enter your trip number.

1:58 Caller: No luck yet. Still trying to reach a person. I don't have that. Again, I don't have a booking and I just need a representative for a general question.

2:10 Priceline: I'm sorry, I'm having trouble understanding that request. Sorry, I didn't get that. Please say trip number or phone number.

2:23 Caller: Agent.

2:24 Priceline: I'm sorry, I'm having trouble understanding that request. Sorry, I didn't get that. Please say trip number or phone number.

2:37 Caller: Agent.

2:37 Priceline: I'm sorry, I'm having trouble understanding that request. Sorry, I didn't get that. Please say trip number or phone number.

2:50 Caller: No luck so far. I can try one more time. Phone number. I don't have a booking, though.

2:57 Priceline: I'm sorry, I'm having trouble understanding that request. You'll now be connected with one of our agents who can help you further.

3:04 Priceline: Thank you for calling. Your call is very important to us and will be answered in the order it was received.

3:14 Caller: Finally we got out of that loop. I'll wait for a live person to answer.

[Hold music for about 22 minutes. "Thank you for calling. Your call is very important to us and will be answered in the order it was received" repeats throughout.]

25:09 Representative: Thank you for contacting Travel Services. You are through to [representative]. Can I start by getting your first and last name?

25:15 Caller: Hi, I'm just calling with a general question, so I'd rather not give the name. Is that okay? I just need to ask about your booking policies in general.

25:24 Caller: Right, thank you. So can a hotel booking be changed or canceled over the phone?

25:32 Representative: So, it does depend on the cancel policy, because we do have bookings that are fully refundable up until maybe two days prior before the reservation. Then yes, you can call any time through to us to cancel them, or you can cancel it on your end. It will allow you to cancel on your end as well.

25:54 Caller: Okay. And what happens...

25:55 Representative: And then if maybe you made an error... You can continue.

25:59 Caller: Oh, sure. If that hotel booking is non-refundable, what typically happens with refunds?

26:06 Representative: So it is up to the property to decide. However, you will need to provide us with a valid reason why you'd like to cancel that specific booking.

26:17 Caller: I see. Okay. And are your phone agents available 24/7?

26:23 Representative: Every day of the week.

26:26 Caller: Awesome. Thanks so much for your help. Bye.

26:29 Representative: You're welcome. Thank you. [unclear]
