Suitsupply customer service: the numbers, and what two stores said by phone
Two real calls from a call4me customer's assistant: Suitsupply Chicago on Rush Street on returns and hemming, and Suitsupply Washington in Georgetown on an order pickup. A person answered both store lines in about half a minute.
The short answer: Suitsupply's US customer service number is 1-844-328-9234. Suitsupply's customer service page lists it as "+1 (844) 328-9234 (free)", open Monday to Friday "between 8am to 7pm (nationwide)" and Saturday and Sunday "between 8am - 5pm CDT", with email at service@suitsupply.com. We did not call that line.
For a question about a store visit, a return or an order waiting at a branch, call the store. A call4me customer's assistant called two Suitsupply stores, and a person answered each in about half a minute, with no menu to get through:
- Suitsupply Chicago, 945 North Rush Street: (312) 874-5772, as listed on Suitsupply's Chicago store page. A person answered 31 seconds in.
- Suitsupply Washington in Georgetown, 2828 Pennsylvania Avenue NW: (202) 280-1742, as listed on Suitsupply's Washington store page. A person answered 36 seconds in.
Both numbers dialed match the store pages, which also list each store's opening hours. On both calls, the recorded greeting said "Today we are open until 7 p.m."
What the stores said:
- Chicago, on an online return registered with a UPS label but not shipped: nothing needs canceling or switching online first. "No, you can just bring it in." The first answer was less clear (see below).
- Chicago, on hemming: you can bring a separate item for hemming without an appointment, "as long as it is a Suitsupply garment and it is freshly dry cleaned since the last time it's been worn."
- Georgetown, on a waiting order: the dress shirt had "arrived today", the customer could come in before the 7 pm close to try it on, and the staff member who helped with sizing was working, with no end time given.
The Suitsupply store phone path
There is no phone tree on the store lines. Both calls went the same way:
- A recorded greeting names the store ("Thank you for calling Suitsupply Chicago", or "Suitsupply Washington"), gives today's closing time, and says: "Please stay on the line and a store representative will be with you shortly. Please be aware that this call may be recorded for quality purposes."
- A quiet wait of about 17 seconds in Chicago and 21 seconds in Georgetown. Nothing to press.
- A person answers with the store name: "Suitsupply Chicago" at 0:31, "Suitsupply D.C." at 0:36.
Have the order details ready before you call. In Georgetown, the first thing the associate asked for was "the phone number for the account". Our earlier, separate Suitsupply pickup inquiry at the same store got the same question.
What the two calls established
| Question | Store | What the associate said |
|---|---|---|
| Return an online order registered with a UPS label, not yet shipped, in store | Chicago, Rush Street | First "it can be once it arrives in the store, so you would need to ship it in", then, asked whether anything must be canceled or switched online: "No, you can just bring it in" |
| Refund to the original payment method | Chicago, Rush Street | Asked, but not answered directly |
| Hemming without an appointment | Chicago, Rush Street | Yes, if it is a Suitsupply garment, freshly dry cleaned since it was last worn |
| Has the dress shirt in the order arrived? | Washington, Georgetown | "Shirt arrived today" |
| Can the customer come in before the 7 pm close to try it on and finish the order? | Washington, Georgetown | "Yeah, of course" |
| Is the staff member who helped with sizing working today? | Washington, Georgetown | "He is" |
| Until what time? | Washington, Georgetown | Not given: "have [customer first name muted] reach out to us if he has a time in particular" |
Suitsupply return policy: in store vs. shipping it back
The Chicago answer started one way and ended another. Asked whether a return registered online, with a UPS label but not shipped, could be returned in the store, the associate said "it can be once it arrives in the store", then "so you would need to ship it in". When the assistant asked whether anything had to be canceled or switched online before bringing it in, the answer was "No, you can just bring it in."
Suitsupply's written policy supports the second answer. Its returns and refunds page says "You can return an online order in any store in the same country where it was purchased." Items can be returned free "within 30 days from delivery or store purchase date", with an extended 60 day period for purchases from November 1 to December 25. They must be "unworn, unaltered, free from any signs of wear" with the "original tags attached". Refunds go to the original payment method, with exceptions for gift card payments and cash purchases returned online.
The call did not settle the refund method for this return, how long an in-store refund takes, or what happens to the unused UPS label. If you're bringing a registered return to a store, bring the order confirmation and ask at the counter that the online return is closed out.
Suitsupply alterations and hemming: what to bring
The Chicago associate's two conditions for hemming without an appointment were that it's a Suitsupply garment and that it has been freshly dry cleaned since it was last worn. Suitsupply's store pages say walk-ins are welcome and booking a Suitsupply appointment is optional. The Chicago page says basic alterations take 30 minutes and more complex ones up to 3 days, and that alterations are not free. The call did not cover price or turnaround for this item.
Checking a Suitsupply DC order before a fitting
In Georgetown, the assistant asked about an order where the suit and pants had already come in. The associate asked for the account phone number. The assistant didn't have one and offered the order name and email instead. After a lookup, the associate said the shirt had arrived that day and the customer could come in before 7 pm to try it on and finish the order.
On our side: during the lookup, the assistant asked "Hello, are you still there?" twice, after about 10 seconds of silence each time. The associate answered the second one with "Hold on, Jesus Christ." If your agent is waiting on a lookup, tell it to wait quietly for at least 30 seconds before checking in.
What these calls did not confirm
- Neither call used the 1-844-328-9234 customer service line. Its hours above are from Suitsupply's site, not a call.
- Chicago's first and second return answers conflict. We report both. The refund method was asked about but not directly answered, and no return was made.
- The hemming answer is one store's phone answer. It wasn't checked against a written Suitsupply policy, and no price or turnaround was given.
- In Georgetown, only the shirt was confirmed by the associate. The suit and pants having arrived came from the customer's brief, not from the associate. The call didn't confirm the visit happened, the order was completed, or when the staff member's shift ended.
Listen to the calls
Both recordings are complete, with original voices and timing. No silence was shortened. The Chicago call had no private details to mute. In the Georgetown call, the customer's name, email and the staff member's first name are muted and shown in brackets.

Have your agent call a Suitsupply store
Connect call4me to your agent with the Claude Code guide or the Codex guide. This is a suggested brief, not the one the customer used:
Call the Suitsupply store at [branch and number from suitsupply.com/en-us/stores]. My order is under [name], [email] and [phone number on the account]. Ask whether every item in [item list] has arrived, including any alterations, and whether I can come in [date and time] to try it on. If I'm returning something, ask whether I can bring in an online return I already registered, and whether the refund goes to my original payment method. If staff look something up, wait quietly for at least 30 seconds before checking in. Don't pay, book, cancel or change anything. Report what staff confirmed separately from anything they didn't answer.
