Mount Sinai Doctors phone number at 104 Delancey Street: the menu, the hold, and what three calls found
A call4me customer's assistant called the Mount Sinai Doctors practice at 104 Delancey Street three times to confirm two annual physicals. Here is the phone menu, how long each call took to reach a person, what staff said about fasting and check-in, and all three recordings.
The short answer: the Mount Sinai Doctors practice at 104 Delancey Street, New York, NY 10002 is 212-677-2157. That is the number Mount Sinai's own 104 Delancey Street location page lists, and the one dialed on all three calls below. The same page lists the central line 1-800-MD-SINAI, fax 212-982-2792, and office hours of 8:00am to 8:00pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am to 5:00pm Saturday. Nobody dialed the central line on these calls.
The path to a person on these calls:
- The greeting, a Spanish option (9) and an emergency notice play.
- At the main menu, press 1 ("To schedule, reschedule, or cancel an appointment").
- At the next menu, press 2 ("to connect with a representative for personalized assistance with your appointments"). Press 1 there is the self-service option.
- An automated system asks for the patient's date of birth, then the phone number on the medical record, and sometimes the five-digit ZIP code.
- If it can't find a single record, it sends you to a person: "Please let me connect you with a patient access coordinator", or "We found multiple records with the given identifiers. Let me route you to an agent."
How long it took to reach a person: 4 minutes 14 seconds, 3 minutes 59 seconds and 2 minutes 6 seconds. The two longer calls held for about 66 and 47 seconds after an announced "estimated wait time" of "one, two, five minutes" and "one, two, four minutes". The quickest call skipped the hold after the "multiple records" message.
On Monday, October 12, 2026, between 9:10 and 9:38 am Eastern, a call4me customer's assistant used call4me to confirm two annual physicals booked for the next day at this practice: one for the customer's fiancée, and one for the customer. The calls were confirm only. Nothing was booked, canceled or changed. What staff said:
- Annual physicals "normally" take 30 minutes. Arrive 15 minutes early to sign documents and fill out medical history.
- Bring a legal ID and insurance card. "Most likely all that's needed is her legal ID and insurance card for check-in." Bring your current medications, or a list of them, and any records from previous doctors.
- The fasting answer varied by representative. "They normally suggest fasting four to six hours prior to the appointment" (first call). "If he's scheduled for an annual, initially fasting is recommended, but it's not required" (second call). "They do need to be fasting six hours prior to the appointment" (third call, after the representative checked the patient's age).
- Staff wanted several identifiers before discussing an appointment. One representative accepted the patient's name, date of birth and record phone number. Another asked for the home address and phone number. A third asked for the street address and email, and wouldn't open the chart without the street address.
What the three calls established
| Detail | What the calls established |
|---|---|
| Number dialed | 212-677-2157, matching Mount Sinai's 104 Delancey Street location page |
| Greeting | "Thank you for calling Mount Sinai Doctors at 104 Delancey Street" |
| Menu path to a person | Press 1 (appointments), then 2 (a representative), then the patient's date of birth and record phone number |
| Time to a person | 4:14 (call 1), 3:59 (call 2), 2:06 (call 3) |
| Who answered | "Mount Sinai Health System" on calls 1 and 3; "Mount Sinai Doctors" on call 2 |
| Identity checks | Name, date of birth and record phone (call 1); name, date of birth, home address and phone (call 3); name, date of birth, street address and email, refused without the street address (call 2) |
| Appointments | Both annual physicals confirmed for the next day at 11:30 AM with a primary care doctor at 104 Delancey Street (calls 1 and 3) |
| Visit length | "Normally for annual physicals, they're thirty minutes long" (call 1) |
| Arrival | 15 minutes early, for paperwork and medical history (call 1) |
| What to bring | Legal ID and insurance card; current medications or a list; records from previous doctors (call 1) |
| Fasting | 4 to 6 hours (call 1); recommended but not required for an annual (call 2); 6 hours (call 3) |
What these calls did not establish
- Nobody confirmed bloodwork. The assistant mentioned bloodwork on two calls, but no representative said labs were ordered. The fasting answers were about annual physicals in general.
- The fasting rule is not settled. Three representatives gave three answers. If it matters for your visit, ask your doctor's office or check the MyMountSinai portal rather than relying on one call.
- The phone menu is as heard on October 12, 2026. Key presses aren't audible in the recordings. On the second call the assistant said "option one" and "two" aloud as well.
- We don't know which options lead elsewhere. No call tried prescription refills (2), referrals (3), records (4), billing (5) or directions and hours (6).
- Attendance isn't shown. The calls confirmed appointments the day before. They don't show that either visit happened.
- The hold estimates are unclear. "One, two, five minutes" is what the system said. The actual holds were about 66 and 47 seconds.
Listen to the calls
All three calls are published in full, with original voices and timing. Silences cover the patients' names, dates of birth, phone numbers, home address, ZIP code, email and age, the account owner's name in the assistant's introduction, the doctor's name and the representatives' first names. The practice name, address, appointment time and visit type stay audible. Nothing is cut. The first call is also on the examples page.
The transcripts were reviewed against the saved call text and independent automatic transcriptions of each source and export. No human listening verification is claimed. Key presses aren't audible, so the quiet gaps after a menu are the caller pressing keys.

Calling Mount Sinai Doctors about someone else's appointment
The assistant introduced itself as calling for someone else on calls 1 and 3, and both representatives confirmed the appointment once the patient's identifiers matched. On call 2 the representative asked for the street address and email, and the assistant only had the email. That was the end of the chart lookup, though the representative still gave a general answer about fasting.
So have the full set ready before calling: the patient's full name, date of birth, the phone number on the medical record, the ZIP code, the street address and the email on file. The automated system asks for the date of birth and phone number first. If you also know the doctor and appointment time, say them up front so the representative can find the right visit.
If you are a new patient looking for a practice in the first place, see how to find a new primary care doctor. To move a visit rather than confirm it, see how to reschedule a doctor's appointment.
How these calls were made
call4me is a phone for your AI agent: your agent tells it what to get done and it makes the call. Each brief here said to confirm only, never book, cancel or change anything, and to call as an assistant rather than as the patient.
A few things to know about the caller's side:
- It spoke menu choices aloud on call 2 ("Okay, option one, please" and "Two") while navigating the menu.
- On call 2, it answered "your name and date of birth" with the patient's details. The representative had addressed it as "Sir". It then referred to the patient as "his", so it didn't claim to be him, but it didn't restate that it was an assistant.
- It mentioned bloodwork as if it were scheduled. Its brief described the visits as checkups with bloodwork. No representative confirmed labs.
Ask your assistant to confirm an appointment
Connect call4me to your assistant through the Claude Code guide or Codex guide. The following is a suggested brief, not what the customer used.
Call Mount Sinai Doctors at 104 Delancey Street, 212-677-2157. At the menu press 1, then 2 for a representative. Give the automated system the patient's date of birth and the phone number on their medical record, and the ZIP code if asked. Say you are calling as an assistant for [patient name]. Confirm only the date, time and doctor of their [visit type] on [date]. Use these identifiers if staff ask: [full name, date of birth, record phone, street address, ZIP, email]. Ask how long the visit takes, what to bring and whether fasting is needed. Don't book, cancel or change anything.
