AI apps that make phone calls for you, compared (2026)

Google, Gemini, Meta Muse, Instinct, Pine, Mitra, Voyp, Genspark and call4me compared by what they call for, who can use them, price, and whether you can join the call.

Several consumer AI products now call businesses for you: Google Search and Gemini, Meta Muse, Instinct, Pine AI, Mitra, Voyp, Genspark and call4me. The main split is between short information calls that send you a summary afterward, and agents that handle a whole errand while letting you listen in or take over. A second split is access: some are open to anyone, while others are limited to a phone model, a waitlist or an early test.

We make call4me, so it is included here with the same columns as everyone else. Every fact below comes from the linked product page, official announcement or press report, checked on October 12, 2026. Where a source does not say something, the table says unknown. We have not tested the other products for this article.

Google Search calling

Google Search can call local businesses for prices and availability. Google announced it on July 16, 2025 as rolling out to all US Search users, "with higher limits for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers." Its examples ran "from pet grooming to dry cleaning needs." In November 2025, Google added store calls for product stock, starting with toys, health and beauty, and electronics, and said "this feature is powered by our Duplex technology."

The AI Mode help page says it is "available in English to signed-in users over 18" on mobile and desktop. Google calls only when the information is not online, and "call results (if calls are made) can take up to 30 minutes." Results appear in AI Mode, with optional email. Google's business help page excludes Indiana, Louisiana, Minnesota, Montana and Nebraska. None of these pages offers a way to listen to the call.

Duplex itself began as Assistant restaurant booking in 2019. We found no 2026 Google source on whether Assistant still places those calls.

Gemini Call for Me

Call for Me is Google's newer calling agent inside the Gemini app. TechCrunch reported the test on September 24, 2026. Google's help page lists the requirements: be 18 or over and in the US, use a Pixel 11 phone with a US SIM card, and have a Google AI subscription. It also needs the public beta of the Phone by Google app and English as the device language. Google says it is "gradually making this feature available to eligible users."

It can get business hours, stock and quotes, book or manage appointments and reservations, navigate phone menus and wait on hold. It calls US numbers only. It will not make emergency calls, payments or calls that share sensitive personal information.

This is the only Google calling feature with live control. You can follow the live transcript or listen to live audio, with your microphone muted by default. Tapping Take over unmutes you, and Gemini leaves the call. Calls go out from your own phone number, with standard carrier rates and daily limits.

Meta Muse calling

Muse is Meta's personal agent, launched on September 8, 2026. Meta says you can message it "in the Muse app or directly in WhatsApp," and that it is "free for most of what people need, with subscription plans for people who want to do more."

Calling is a separate, narrower test. On September 16, Muse engineer Ryan Fox posted that Meta had "expanded the @muse beta for outbound calls to US businesses," as reported by TechCrunch. 404 Media reported that Meta was also testing calls placed by human agents in call centers. Meta told 404 Media it would "only roll it out when it's ready and with the proper disclosures."

On October 3, Fox News reported that "the feature remains in limited testing rather than being broadly available to Muse users," and that Meta "has not announced separate pricing" for calling. Whether you can listen or join is unknown.

Muse can already place calls through a connector to another service. Our Muse MCP guide shows a tested setup and a recorded library call.

Instinct Concierge

Instinct is a personal assistant. Its homepage says "You can text or call it." Founder Noah Shinn announced Concierge on September 16, 2026, and TechCrunch describes it as "a white glove service meant to handle high-touch cases." Its examples include restaurants without online reservations, a dentist's cancellation list and a cable bill problem. TechCrunch says it is rolling out to some early access users first, reaching all users "in time."

On October 3, Fox News still described access as "some early-access users." It also reported that Instinct "has not announced a separate price for Instinct Concierge or its phone-calling feature," and that Instinct publishes no monthly subscription price.

No source we found says whether you can listen to or join a Concierge call. Countries and supported business types beyond those examples are also unknown. Our Instinct guide covers Concierge in more detail and compares it with adding calling to an existing agent.

Pine AI

Pine focuses on customer service calls. Its homepage lists subscriptions for cancellations and refunds, utilities and telecom for bill negotiation, plus banking fees, car rentals, travel and delivery complaints. Its phone feature page says you can "watch live status and take over whenever you want," and that it can "ask five venues, mechanics, tutors, or contractors at once."

The pricing page lists PINE Plus at $99.9 a month billed annually, with 20,000 credits and roughly 20 to 106 tasks. PINE Max is $174.9 a month and PINE Team is $291.6 a month, both billed annually. Each paid plan includes "everything in Free," but the free plan itself is not described. The homepage says annual plans negotiate bills "with no percentage success fee."

Pine launched in the US in January 2025. Current country limits are unknown. You use it through iOS, Android and desktop apps, or WhatsApp.

Mitra

Mitra handles both incoming and outgoing calls. Its homepage says it "makes the calls you don't want to make, or don't have time to," handles hold times and phone trees, and "messages you only when it needs input." Mitra works from your existing number: "Mitra works from the phone number people already know."

Live control is central. You can "read the live transcript, listen in, and step into the conversation whenever you want." When a call ends, "the recording, transcript, summary, and next steps are waiting." You text or call Mitra, and the site names iPhone and iPad.

The pricing page lists Mitra Pro at $30 a month with 5 call hours, Premier at $90 with 20 hours, and Prime at $300 with 80 hours. Yearly billing saves 17 percent. New users get a 7 day trial with 2 hours of calls. Supported countries and an Android app are not mentioned.

Voyp

Voyp is a low cost calling app with a broad set of channels. Its homepage says "Voyp dials, talks to whoever picks up, and hands you back what was agreed." Examples include booking a table, rescheduling the dentist, cancelling the gym, chasing a refund and getting a plumber's quote.

You can join by transferring the call: "Want to jump in? Transfer the call to your own verified number." If the business asks something only you can answer, "Voyp pings you mid-call, then carries on with your reply." Afterward, a summary and full transcript land in the app, plus a recording if you asked for one.

Voyp lists iPhone, Android, Mac, web, WhatsApp and ChatGPT, and offers MCP for other AI agents. The free plan is pay as you go with credits. Paid plans are $2.99 a month for 100 credits or $29.99 a year for 150 credits a month. It calls numbers in other countries, with the rate depending on the destination. The site does not state a per minute price in dollars.

Genspark Call for Me

Genspark is a general AI workspace with a calling agent. Our only primary source is a Twilio press release dated February 3, 2026, because Genspark's own site blocked our page requests. Twilio describes Call for Me as "an AI agent for individuals that completes phone-call tasks end-to-end."

According to the release, it handles "booking appointments, managing reservations, gathering information, and resolving customer service inquiries." Twilio says Genspark needed telephony "across 40+ countries with multilingual support," and reports "180,000 unique users globally" with "up to 800 daily outgoing calls."

We could not verify Genspark's current price for calls, the platforms it runs on, or whether you can listen or join. Treat those as unknown and check Genspark directly. Third party pricing summaries exist, but we did not use them because Genspark has not confirmed them.

call4me

call4me adds phone calls to an AI assistant you already use. It connects over MCP to Claude Code, Codex, Claude, ChatGPT, Grok Bot and other MCP clients. Muse can build its own connector. Your assistant researches the business, sends the brief, and can answer the caller's questions while the call is still going.

You can ask to be connected when a person picks up, join mid-call, or listen silently and press 1 to take over. Calls can be scheduled for business hours, and several can run at once. Results include the outcome, transcript and available recording.

Calls cost $0.25 a minute from pickup, including phone menus and hold time, with prepaid credits from $10. Unanswered, busy and failed calls are free. Some destinations cost more, as the account page lists. Each account gets a free US number that can call the US, Canada, Europe, the UAE and Japan. Sign in uses Google or X.

call4me has no standalone app. If you do not already use an AI assistant, an app from the list above is the simpler choice.

How to choose

Whatever you choose, judge the result by what the business actually confirmed. A finished call is not always a finished task. Our guide to agents that make calls for you has a brief template and a checklist for that, and our phone calling MCP comparison covers developer focused calling tools.
