Palmeri Brentwood private dining: a wine room quote for 8
Two real calls to Palmeri Ristorante in Brentwood, one in English and one in Italian, priced a private dinner for 8 in the wine room. The quotes differed, and nothing was booked.
Palmeri Ristorante is at 11650 San Vicente Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90049, in Brentwood. Its official About page lists that address and 310.442.8446, the number our customer's assistant dialed. The reservations page says "Reservations are made by phone only", and the private events page says the restaurant offers "seating for over 80 guests as well as a private room that seats 12." The site calls the restaurant Palmeri S.p.A. Ristorante. It doesn't use the word Brentwood, but 11650 San Vicente is in Brentwood.
On October 12 and 13, 2026, a call4me customer's assistant called Palmeri twice about a private dinner for 8 at one table on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. It was a quote request only. The assistant was told not to hold, book or agree to any charge.
The second call, in Italian with the staff member who handles private dining, quoted the wine room at $135 per person for a set menu, plus a $250 room fee, about 20% gratuity and 10% tax. The first call, a day earlier in English, had said $100 per person plus tax and gratuity. Get the final number in writing.
What the Palmeri calls established
| Question | October 12 call (English) | October 13 call (Italian) |
|---|---|---|
| Is a private room free on Thursday, November 5? | "The wine room is available" | The assistant said the team had confirmed it the day before; staff went straight to pricing |
| Per person price | $100 per person for a set menu, plus tax and gratuity; à la carte also possible | $135 per person |
| What the set menu includes | Not described | Soft drinks and American coffee, a shared appetizer, a choice of salad or soup, a choice of main course and a choice of dessert |
| Room fee | Not discussed | $250 for the room, "depending", usually |
| Gratuity | Not given as a percentage | "Usually 20 percent" for a group of 8 |
| Tax | Not given as a percentage | 10% |
| Deposit | Not discussed | Usually no deposit, but a credit card is required |
| Cancellation | Not discussed | If it isn't canceled within 48 hours, they charge $250 |
| Contact | The private dining contact wasn't working that day; staff said she would be in the next day | The private dining contact gave her email and mobile number (muted in the recording) |
Before you compare totals, note the two price points. The $100 figure came from someone else at the restaurant who was standing in for the private dining contact. The $135 figure came from the private dining contact herself and came with a menu list. Neither call shows that the $100 menu and the $135 menu are the same thing.
What these calls did not settle
- Nothing was booked or held. On the first call the host took the customer's name, phone number, party size and time, and said he could "take the information". The recording doesn't show whether that went in as a reservation or a note. On the second call the assistant said it was asking only for a quote, with no reservation yet.
- No written quote is shown. The first call ended while the assistant was asking for the package to be emailed. On the second call the assistant got the contact's email but didn't ask her to send the package. Nothing on these recordings shows a proposal arriving.
- Wine and alcohol weren't priced. The $135 menu named soft drinks and coffee only.
- Gratuity and the room fee were hedged. Staff said "usually" 20% and that they "usually" take $250 for the room, "depending". Tax was stated as 10%.
- The 6 to 9 PM time wasn't repeated on the second call. The first call covered it.
- Room size wasn't asked. Staff called it the wine room. The website lists one private room that seats 12, which fits 8, but the call didn't confirm they are the same room.
- The cancellation term is as spoken. The $250 charge for canceling inside 48 hours was explained in passing, not read from a contract.

Listen to the October 12 call (English)
The assistant asked for the private dining contact, learned she was out, and was put through to a second person, who checked the wine room and gave the first price. There is a hold of about 2 minutes with no sound, kept at its original length. The customer's name, company, phone number and email, plus staff first names, are muted. The restaurant and room names stay audible.
The recording lasts 4 minutes 55 seconds.

Representative: [Greeting, possibly "Buonasera"] How may I help you?
AI agent: Hi there! I was hoping to speak with [staff name muted] about a private dinner next month.
Representative: What's the [unclear: day or name] of your reservation, please?
AI agent: Uh, it's for [customer name muted]. He called earlier. They told us to call back after five. She handles private dining.
Representative: Oh, because today [staff name muted] is not here, she's not working today, but tomorrow... Yeah, tomorrow she will be here.
AI agent: Perfect. Could you help me, or...
Representative: [Unclear, possibly "by maybe five"]
AI agent: Oh, gotcha, five tomorrow. Could you help me, or connect me with whoever's handling group dinners right now, so I can get a quote for a private dinner on Thursday, November 5th next month?
Representative: Let me double check. It's Thursday, November fifth. I'll put it at what time?
AI agent: Uh, we were looking at six to nine, and it'd be eight guests at one table in a private room.
Representative: I can take the information. It's for [customer surname muted], right? [Unclear word muted]
AI agent: Yes. Yeah, [surname spelling muted].
Representative: And then, I'm sorry, for how many people?
AI agent: Eight, please.
Representative: And the phone number that I can put here?
AI agent: Sure, [phone number muted].
Representative: Okay, [phone number readback muted].
AI agent: That's right.
Representative: And then you want to be in the private room, right?
AI agent: Yeah, private room.
Representative: Mm hmm.
AI agent: Oh, sure.
Representative: Let me double check with [staff name muted] if he can speak to you. I'll put you on hold, señora.
AI agent: Sure, no problem.
Representative: Thank you.
[Hold: about 2 minutes with no sound. Original timing retained.]
Representative: Hello?
AI agent: Hello. I'm calling to check availability and pricing for a private dinner on Thursday, November 5th, from six to nine, for eight guests.
Representative: Okay. It would be for who?
AI agent: It's for [company muted]. We're hosting a small, invite-only group of marketing leaders.
Representative: Which company, señora? Which company are we talking about? Is that like a pharmaceutical, is what?
AI agent: It's an AI marketing company.
Representative: Oh, a marketing company. Okay.
AI agent: Yeah. And could you tell me if the private room's available that evening for eight, and what the price is?
Representative: Okay, Thursday, November fifth, the wine room is available. And, uh, we have, you know, we have like, we can do a set menu, or either we can do à la carte.
AI agent: Great.
Representative: The set menu, you know, would be a hundred dollars per person, plus tax and gratuity.
AI agent: Perfect, thank you. One last thing, could we have [staff name muted] email the package details to [email muted]
[The recording ends here, during the request.]
Listen to the October 13 call (Italian)
The next evening the assistant called back and spoke Italian. The private dining contact answered "Palmeri, buonasera", and the assistant switched to Italian and stayed in it. She gave the full price breakdown, then her email and mobile number. Her name, email and mobile number are muted, along with the customer's name, its spelling and the company. The full timing is kept, including silence after the goodbye.
The recording lasts 4 minutes 22 seconds.

Representative: Palmeri, buonasera.
Representative: Posso includere i soft drinks e caffè americano.
Representative: Allora, visto in quanti siete... otto, no?
AI agent: Sì, esatto, otto persone.
Representative: Otto.
Representative: No no no no. Volevo solo sapere il nome, il tuo nome, così in caso posso chiamare.
Representative: Okay, okay. E niente, ciao, ciao, grazie.
AI agent: Grazie ancora. Arrivederci!
[Silenzio dopo il saluto. Durata originale mantenuta.]
English translation
This is an English translation of the Italian conversation. Brackets mark muted details. Staff used a few English words in Italian ("wine room", "soft drinks", "choice", "main course", "fee"), which are kept.
Representative: Palmeri, good evening.
AI agent: Good evening! I'd like to speak with [staff name muted] or whoever handles events or groups, please.
Representative: Yes, I'm [name muted]. Go ahead.
AI agent: Oh, perfect. I'm calling from [company muted]: yesterday we were told your wine room would be available Thursday, November 5 for eight people. I'd just like to ask for a few more details for a quote, if that's okay.
Representative: Okay. Yes, yes, no problem. So, we can... usually for the wine room we do, let's say... I can do 135 dollars per person.
AI agent: Great.
Representative: I can include soft drinks and American coffee. It's a set menu, with an appetizer to share, then there's a choice of salad or soup, then they have a choice of main course, and a choice of dessert.
AI agent: Fantastic, thanks. I wanted to ask: is there a...
Representative: And then usually we do, I mean, it depends, usually we also take two fifty for the room.
AI agent: Got it. So two fifty would be the room fee. Okay.
Representative: For the room, yes.
AI agent: Perfect. And for the tip, what service percentage do you apply?
Representative: So, given how many of you there are... eight, right?
AI agent: Yes, exactly, eight people.
Representative: Eight. Usually 20 percent.
AI agent: Okay, perfect. And as for the deposit...
Representative: And taxes are... taxes have gone up to 10 percent.
AI agent: Got it.
Representative: The deposit, well... I don't know if you have a contract, something... We usually don't take a deposit, but we need a credit card, and we need at least a... I mean, if it isn't canceled within forty eight hours, then we take the two hundred fifty dollars.
AI agent: I see, thanks. Would you happen to have an email address we can write to, to confirm the details? Maybe you can tell me the email and I'll repeat it letter by letter to be safe.
Representative: Yes, it's [staff email dictation muted, with brief acknowledgments from the assistant].
AI agent: Perfect, so...
Representative: This is for the... you wrote... how do you pronounce [customer name muted]?
AI agent: [Customer name and spelling muted]. Anyway, to confirm the email: [email spelling muted]
Representative: No, there isn't one, it's [part of the email muted], there's no dot.
AI agent: Ah okay, so all one word.
Representative: [Email readback by both speakers muted]
AI agent: Perfect, so [email spelling muted].
Representative: Yes, correct. Who am I speaking with?
AI agent: We're from [company muted]. We're only asking for a quote, no reservation yet.
Representative: No no no no. I just wanted to know the name, your name, so I can call if needed.
AI agent: You can just refer to [company muted]. If you need a contact name, it's [customer name muted].
Representative: Okay, yes yes.
AI agent: Perfect, thank you very much.
Representative: Okay, fine, perfect. And if you want I can also give you my mobile, in case you can't reach... because I'm not here every day. If you need to, you can contact me, I can give you my mobile, [mobile number muted].
AI agent: Perfect, thank you so much, very kind.
Representative: Okay, okay. Well, that's it, bye, bye, thanks.
AI agent: Thanks again. Goodbye!
[Silence after the goodbye. Original timing retained.]
Why the second call was worth making
The first call got availability and a ballpark, but the person who handles private dining wasn't in, and the call was cut off before the package email request finished. The customer's brief for the second call listed exactly what was still missing: the room fee or minimum, the gratuity percentage, deposit terms and an email address spelled back letter by letter. The assistant asked each in turn and got an answer to each.
Two things to copy if you book here. Ask for the person who handles private dining, and call in the evening: the assistant had been told to call back after 5 PM, and on October 12 staff said she wasn't working that day but would be in the next day. And ask whether the per person price includes drinks, because the $135 menu named only soft drinks and coffee.
For another private room quote with minimums and service charges, see the Lai Wah Heen private dining call.
Ask your assistant for a Palmeri quote
Connect call4me using the Claude Code guide or Codex guide. The brief below is a suggestion, not the one the customer used, and the recordings don't show which client placed these calls.
Call Palmeri Ristorante at 310-442-8446 (11650 San Vicente Blvd, Brentwood, Los Angeles) after 5 PM. Ask for the person who handles private dining, and speak Italian if they answer in Italian. We want the wine room or private room on [date] from [start] to [end] for [number] guests at one table. Get the per person price and exactly what it includes (drinks and wine too), the room fee or minimum, gratuity percentage, tax, deposit and cancellation terms. Spell back their email letter by letter and ask them to send the package to [my email]. This is a quote only: don't hold or book anything, don't give card details and don't agree to any charge.
